  1. Beauty of an outing!!! Nice work
  2. Nicely done....that's how you do a day trip for sure! I've done it a couple times so far this year....tiring but worth it. I like the double jigging setup....do you keep them at the same depth or different depths?
  3. Nicely done.....got a good little fry there. What were you using?
  4. Awesome boat!!! Congrats
  5. Awesome report! Lots of fish and lots of smiles....just the way it should be
  6. I've heard that Restoule is pretty good for the whities....might be out of your 2 hour range....but not by much
  7. Jeremy, listen to your elders....some great advice on this board. Honestly, your cheapest, closest, least painful way of discovering whether or not the girls are up for ice fishing, will be to go to Island Lake. Simcoe is a bit further...will have sturdier huts....but will also cost more and may not really make a difference. I'm still laughing about Rizzo and fishNwire's posts
  8. AWESOME!!! Very impressive
  9. He's gettin' big allright.....but he's sooooooo cuuuuuuuute
  10. Could be a big pile of snow and slush in Muskoka by the weekend now
  11. Nice haul of jumbos.....maybe all the big perch really are on the East side....and good on you for getting the license
  12. Maybe check in with the guys at the Causeway bait shop....they usually have good info on where the bite is hot...
  13. I always used the one that came with my Aqua Vu.....misplaced it so I went to a hobby shop and got a new one for $10. Just a big fat plug with a red LED on it and alligator clips...nothing fancy
  14. I'm impressed! Those are some really nice fish....you have a pretty slick routine down there...and a great write-up too
  15. By Saturday I think there will be lots of good ice closer than Simcoe. I was chasing lakers, albeit unsuccesfully, in Muskoka on this past weekend.
  16. Some nice lakers there man....that ice looks great! I FINALLY got out to chase some this weekend....threw the tackle box at them and could only watch them chase my offerings on the screen. Coaxed one to the hole from 33FOW....thought I might get him to jump out Not a single fish would hit though....maybe the lack of "meat" on the lures....not sure. I love ripping the rattle baits to bring them in though....100% effective technique!
  17. Nice pike man!!!!! I was out in the cold stuff....no wind where I was....not too hard to handle. I woulda been sweating if I pulled a beast like that up!
  18. Is that for real, Bubbles? Did you call and ask? Wouldn't surprise me
  19. That really is a fantastic deal....wonder how many stores have it in stock?
  20. I never knew it was a dammed lake. Well I'll be darned.
  21. The way I read it, it didn't sound like they were calling "everyone else" out for snagging. The guys ripping 2 and 3 feet up....when they know there's a school of fish there (easy to do with electronics) are the one's they're talking about. Lots and lots of people fish Simcoe...no question there is a lot of rule breaking going on...same as the way the salmon run brings them out.
  22. I pulled a wormy herring out of Nip this year....but just the one...didn't have others to compare it to. Next time I'll likely chuck'em in the freezer and save them for the pike
  23. You truly have earned the "Super" in your name. Well done sir!
  24. I just clued into your title....the next time I hear "One scotch....one bourbon....one bee-eerrrr" on the radio I'll be changing the lyrics
  25. Friends of mine live there.....I know they were skating close to shore over the Christmas holidays....I know it has some deep spots though, so I don't know how the rest of it is
