  1. TBG is a good firm, having been in the trade for over 30 years, I am impressed with what they do. Another alternative is to go to Landscape ontario and search there.
  2. Throw ONE guy overboard, and they never let you forget it.....
  3. Last summer was expensive for me, two pairs of + $200 sunglasses over the side, I now have a granny strap. I took a guest out on my bass boat, hit the throttle, and his very nice camera went up and over the side. The camera was not the worst thing though, he had pics from a friends first steelheading trip on the camera. I felt pretty bad about that one.
  4. Well, someone has to say it, so I will. I think the teacher in the video has some dandy lines....

  6. I never understood why people would post about the loss of a dog, until now. The pain of driving to the vet is measurable, I was going to say immeasurable, but no this is a pain that can be defined. One would compare it to the heartache of a lost favorite toy as a child, a sharp searing pain in one's gut as you desperately search for your missing thing. However this ...toy....looks at you with soulful brown eyes and listens to you as you explain to her what your plans are, what is laying heavy on your heart, and just general unloading. She was a playmate, a warning of the always dreaded squirrel, the guard when you have a poorly placed shot that did not fold up the raccoon inhabiting your shop, and the happy to just lay at your feet companion when you are sitting in the back forty enjoying a beer. A tireless stick or ball retriever, happiest when frollicing in the water, laying her head on your lap insisting on one more scratch behind her ears, and gently insisting that it is time to go outside and find those dreaded squirrels. That my friends is what Midnight was, a replacement will come along, will not be named Midnight but will probably be a Lab. I am gonna miss her.
  7. What if they are being a pest, into crop stores, nesting in buildings etc? Not looking for loopholes, a serious question.
  8. http://www.thespec.com/news-story/4528417-teen-tossed-from-boat-rescued-on-lake-ontario/ Niagara Regional Police are crediting a Grimsby couple for saving a stranded teen in Lake Ontario. Police say a 17-year-old boy built a one-person watercraft using instructions he found on the Internet, and set out on Lake Ontario without a life-jacket. The boat got caught up in the current and began drifting away from the shore, and rough water tossed him into the water. A Grimsby woman had noticed the boat, and called 911 while her husband paddled out to the boy in a kayak with a life jacked and a rope. The man pulled the teen to shore, where he was taken to West Lincoln Memorial Hospital to be treated for exposure.
  9. So....Success?
  10. Could someone provide me with Vince's contact info. I need to speak with him regarding his boat.
  11. You are welcome.
  12. You're doing it wrong, put on a white hardhat, clean work boots dressy shirt and khakis, and you will be able to walk right in.....
  13. Turning the blade will have the same effect as pulling the start cord. ERGO the motor can start.
  14. There are contractors on the board, post what you need done, and who knows???
  15. So...that's what were gonna talk about when we get out, granddaughters. Mine is 2 1/2
  16. It's NBD, just friends helping one another out.
  17. Simon, I can GIVE you my old one if you want. And deliver it as well. Is Friday night good? Unless you want the one from Wayne.
  18. That is one nice looking rig! Enjoy it!
  19. Now THAT'S funny!
  20. Try Costco for battery prices as well.
  21. My Ranger, 1985 370V, with all gear and full tanks weighed 3200 pounds even. That is an 17'9"fiberglass boat with a 150 V6 Mercury on it and trailer. I got that figure from parking it on a scale and disconnecting the trailer, so it was only the boat, motor and trailer on the scale. Hope that info helps.
  22. What about the effect that water will have on the other components of the engine, head, valves, INJECTORS (if you have them), cylinder sleeves, just drain it and cut your losses. Sure it is a pain now, but will be an even bigger pain if you conk out in the middle of the lake. In a storm, with water on board, and your grandkids, kids and mother in law (well that's a bad example) or wife, or or or ME! Also alcohol will not mix with oil as well as gas. Gas is a hydrocarbon, as is oil, alcohol is not.
