  2. That is to be determined, right now a 2500 lb camping trailer, hopefully soon a 18 - 20 foot fiberglass boat.
  3. I have been looking for a sturdy vehicle that I can use as both a tow vehicle and a daily driver. I do a lot of highway driving, ~40 - 60K per year. What I have determined to be a possible compromise is the Jeep Grand Cherokee with the Mercedes diesel drivetrain. 2006 - 2008 model years. Old enough to be affordable, new enough to find one with low K's. Has anyone had any experience with this vehicle and if so what were your experiences like in both types of use?
  4. Google vinyl wraps, most sign shops could help you with that. Yes you can see through them but your visibility is reduced.
  5. If the lake cooperates there are fish to be had, but not as many now from what i hear.
  6. No we just found their cottage on the web and rented it. Is is as nice as it looks on the computer?

  9. I would be going after bass, walleye and panfish.
  10. Is anyone familiar with Bing inlet north of Parry sound? I will be up there in the near future and am wondering what to expect and plan for. Are there a lot of navigation hazards? Rocks, etc?
  11. I usually wear it, the one time I didn't the same thing happened to me as happened to Beans. Some seat gave way and over the side I went. Both Beans and I survived, but lessons were learned.
  12. 9863 it's on the bottom of the home page
  13. I'm a relative new comer joined 09-September 07 according to my profile drop down. Made a few friends, lost a dear friend, RIP JOHNF, and have enjoyed my time here.
  14. Nice stick, don't get it caught in any overhanging branches...
  15. Try blanching them in hot oil then freezing, you may be surprised by the results.
  16. You're living a great life, at least in the summer. You are welcome to the winters. I feel the name of the lake should be changed to "Content in the embrace of Family Lake" Thanks for sharing.
  17. Who do I know that has connections with local excavating contractors?????
  18. I'm registering an official complaint. No-one, I mean no-one should be THAT lucky!
  19. Here is a random thought, How about a reasoned, moderate discourse on what the actual issues are that allow certain members of our society to have lax enforcement of certain laws. Or to put it another way deal with the situation as it is, not as it should be. I'll start: Perhaps it could be a jurisdictional issue?
  20. Brian B nails it again!
  21. If I didn't .....well that would just go against my frugal nature. However us salary people don't get paid extra hours, but we do get paid when it is slow.
  22. Like Rod Caster I am ~20 min from the office, however the job site could be anywhere within a 500 km radius, and you need to get there tuit sweet. Last Wednesday 50 k south of parry sound, thursday gravenhurst, friday peterborough, monday tuesday Belleville. So, yah some driving is involved. I would say that the commute could be long, but if it is easy driving it could be worth it.
  23. Headed to Belleville next week, anyone got a need to hook up?

  24. I had water come in the vent of my tank and cause 5 liters in the bottom of the tank to be removed.
  25. Cliff use grade pipes to set grade. Compact the everloving &*(^()-9 out of the base, lay down ~1 of sand or screenings, level that out and with a string line set the line to a known height above desired finish grade, get a straight piece of lumber and screet out the sand or screenings and lay your stone on that flat surface. Oh, fill in the gap left by the pipe (1/2"conduit works well), as you are going. Easy peasy. I have done interlock more than a few times and found this to be the easiest method for setting grade. As well, I strongly suggest using an aluminum edge restraint.
