  1. I would suggest that you get a Garmin, I have two and they are invaluable to be. A 250nuvi w should be less than 200 bucks now.
  2. Nice job! The hex nuts are for adjusting the height, right? If so, why not weld a "T" handle on them to make it easier to loosen and tighten in the field?
  3. We know who to blame for April's snow storm now.

  6. How do I unseize a steering cable on a rack and pinion steering system? I have had it apart, and the rack and pinion move freely, but the cable does not. There is a grease fitting on the cable housing that will not accept grease, it will be replaced soon. Any ideas??

  8. The citica is a great reel for the money! I agree that a 6'6" M-MH rod would be a good all purpose rod for now, however when the baitcasting bug hits you may find yourself owning a rod and reel for many different applications. The BPS extreme series is a nice match to that reel. Good luck with the purchase!
  9. Congrads, now you get to worry about important things. It has been 18 years 11 months two weeks for me, and my oldest just bought a house. Just as an aside, mine were cuter.
  10. Did you know that when you have a hook on a line with a sinker, and a worm impaled on the hook, a fish will sometimes bite it? Some of that priceless info... But yes Doug is right, this is a great spot!
  11. If you have found the boat of your dreams, taken it for a sea trial, and it seems like the boat for you; then pay a marine mechanic 70 - 100 buck to look it over for you. When you buy a house you get a home inspection, when you buy a boat get it inspected because if you breakdown in the middle of Erie, you might not make it home. Just my two cents. Good luck with the search, if I run across anthing I'll let you know.
  12. To the lake and back in 8 seconds

  21. Just wanted to say thanks to Boatman for helping me with a starting up an old evinrude larkVI. We (he) cleaned out the old gas, pulled the flywheel to check the points, (brand new), and changed the gearoil in the lower unit. He taught me a lot about what needed to be done. Now comes the sea trial. Should be interesting, I hope he is willing to come along for that. I promise it will be done on a sunny day not in the rain like we had today. I thank you for your help, the job was much easier with your expertise! BTW what do I owe you, I forgot to ask.
