  1. Y'all can't fish outta that! Nice ride!
  2. Oh, great ANOTHER thread to drool over.... JPD, good luck with the build!
  3. Actually you would want the default position to be closed, as the valve only needs to be open to fill the livewell and empty it.
  4. I was this! close to going up to get it last year, but time and money and my wife were against me. That is one of the best big water hulls availible, in my opinion. If you don't get a response from here try Kijji or Craigslist.
  5. He was, by telephone.....(shhhhhhh)
  6. No, he's right in the back corner of the shop, wagging his tail.....
  7. I did mine with a supervisor that was 120 miles away
  8. Very good point! I could use a spring loaded switch or a switch that is wired to the ignition.....
  9. Well that would work out, the default position wanted would be closed, no? Simply activate to fill and empty.....Or is there something I am missing? I have never had a livewell before, let alone two!
  10. Thank you for this info, 24 volts should not be a problem, TM is 24V, but keeping it dry might be. The valves are in the bilge.
  11. I am considering changing the cable operated livewell valves to an electric valve, using a valve for underground irrigation. This will give me only two positions, open and closed. Would this work, and are there any disadvatages to doing something like this?
  12. Keep 'em coming! I am LOVING this!
  13. Speak for yourself, I have Fe Mail
  14. As garry's sig says I just devised a better idiot... When are y'all pullin up roots?
  15. I hope dave will mention this in his next FYI! Congrads Brian, BTW it's my birthday tomorrow....
  16. If I have a temp sensor on the Bow mount it should give me the temp info I need as i am fishing, I suppose. The 580 is going to be at the helm, while the 525 will be at the bow. Thank you for confirming what I was thinking, all of you. However the silicone idea is worth thinking about..... The question I forgot to ask was, Will it work on a ranger hull to do a throgh hull install. As I understand it, on a chopped layup, the transducer will not work, while on a handlayed hull it will. Is this true? Rangers are a chopped layup proccess when built, correct?
  17. I am wondering if I do a through hull installation of my transducer on a 580 Hummingbird, in a Ranger 370V, will I still get accurate water temperature readings? As i understand it all ineed to do is get some wet resin and push the 'ducer into it to install it. Correct?
  18. You may have open up a bit of grief doing that. The concern I would pose is that the well liner will rust even more than it is now and the ground (dirt) may go into your well and fill it up. As well, if that happens, there is a possibility of a sinkhole occuring. I would suggest consulting a well driller regarding this.
  19. Do you live in St Hubert, or EAT at St Hubert????
  20. Ya'know if you put that creativity to GOOD use.......

    What a horrible fate!
  22. Not only can you get them from shore, but Steve (Fishmaster) will give you good advice on how to fish for them as well. When y'all hook into a big kittie, it is a LOT of fun. Don't eat them over 7 pounds though....
  23. At least we don't look down on you......
  24. Oh look! a can of worms, let's open it!
  25. My wife refers to those as the terrific two's. However.....
