  1. And I am happy to correct any mistakes that G. makes.....
  2. +1 on another leaf in your springs. I had it done to my e150 van for about 150 bucks.
  3. Congrads! So are ya gonna' need a van?
  4. Except for me, yes do use cement board, but tape the corners and joints, with fiberglass tape and Durabond. The joints only need one coat and the return on wall strength is incredible.
  5. Keep it up TJ you're doin' good \
  6. For not posting. Now back away from the keyboard, nice and slowwwww, that's it, find the couch, ask Monique for a beer, and, WATCH THE GAME!
  7. When I took it apart the retaining ring was very loose, so I am thinking the seal was leaking due to improper assembly. The shaft is going to be checked out very carefully and replaced if necessary. The power head is going to be re-built, unless I can repower at a reasonable cost. This project has gone beyond funny and now is a matter of pride and stubborness. I am now married to this boat. Fortunately the repairs are not as overwhelming as I first thought, just time consuming. When it is done I will post some pics, but for now it will remain a private project.
  8. I suppose eveyone who is denigrating the shot(s) that she missed would have made them themselves....
  9. Chuck Norris can make a traffic signal change just by looking at it.
  10. I didn't, they were going too FAST!
  11. A very good resource on the board is Boatman. He has an incredible knowledge of old outboards. Send him a PM and he can advise you. Heck he may even have the parts you need.
  12. Check for a hole in your fuel system, it sounds like a fuel problem. I was at Pices marine in Oakville yesterday, and they have some 25 - 30 hp tillers for sale there. Not sure of the pricing though....

    Thanks TJ

    Hear! Hear!
  14. It would be a fun thing to do, but getting the tackle would be difficult I think. PS: Thanks for the fish! And other stuff.
  15. I was not to impressed with our goaltending USA's was incredible!
  16. My brother and I fired up the motor and found out that it runs really well on 5 out of the 6 cylinders.... 0 pounds compression in the #5 cylinder. So I decided to pull the head to find out what was going on. Well I pulled the head and here are the results..... The piston in question This one looks different than the others.
  17. It's a good thing he did not get wrecked on the course.....Those guys are NUTS!
  18. Garry did someone poop on your cornflakes? That post is not a reflection of your usual good humour and willingness to share. I'll see you in the spring.
  19. I will try to post a pic of it tomorrow. In short, yes.
  20. I have a trailer winch that I use on my boat. I find that it works quite well. I put it into freewheel to deploy the anchor and crank it up when it is time to move.
  21. I was waiting for someone to articulate just that sentiment. When I took posession of my current home I was literally ankle deep in used cat food....Anyone who has been in my home would not know that fact unless I told them. This house is much more my home because "I" rebuilt it. It took a long time, I am still not done, but the sense of ownership and pride is much greater than if I had "written a cheque". As to selling it off to some unsuspecting buyer, you guys don't know me. I could not do that and sleep at night. Not to promote another board, here is a link to the same thread. http://bbcboards.zeroforum.com/zerothread/...985-ranger-370v
  22. I am surprised I did not hear the videographer slapping the misquiters. That is amazing footage.
  23. Where does one go to buy gel coat? I have access to a commercial body shop supplier, so that is my first thought. Any ideas, knowledge???
  24. Careful, I may take you up on that....
  25. Mechanically the boat is fine, except for the lower unit seals. Steering is excellent, I do not know about the wiring yet, but I am confident it will be relatively easy to toubleshoot if there is a problem. The glass work will be done to the best of my ability, heck if I can tape drywall, I should be able to smooth fiberglass. Only trouble is getting the boat upside down. Good thing my neighbour has a mini ex and a skidsteer. The seats I am going to get done by a local shop, depending on the cost.
