  1. Take a look at these pics and feel free to make suggestions as to what can be done. Battery compartment Rear deck Helm Consol Bow controls (What do these do?) Rear Livewell Shifter and livewell controls (How do these operate?) I am starting on stripping out the carpet and I am thinking about a deck extension as well. Any and all advice is welcome! How do I remove the shifter from the sidewall? I was test-fitting my seats and found it need to be moved up an inch or 2.
  2. I just wanted to publicly thank and apologize to corvette1 for A: receiving the seats and B: Forgeting to give you the Canadian Club I bought for you. I was so excited to get these seats that it slipped my mind.
  3. I used to work on a kill floor, and we used a 22 with the muzzle up against Bessie's head. Very quick and humane. Don't ask about lamb and pigs.
  4. Hey guys, just MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, that is her Valentines gift to him......NAH, it's a trap.

  6. Rob, those pathfinders are hard on fuel, but very reliable I have heard. Nice jack BTW!
  7. That is why is such a good thing they are comfortable! I always have mine on. Well, at least when I'm in the boat.....
  8. Check these guys out.... http://www.miskatrailers.com/index_a.asp does that get me free tickets to the show??????
  9. My cardiologist is exactly such an animal. He had very successful practice in Ohio and shut it down to come back to Canada. He feels our system is better due to the fact that it places people first rather than money. So now you have heard of one.....and a specialist to boot!
  10. I know for sure that it is the lower unt oil. The first thing I checked when I got the boat was the lower unit oil. It was milky and to top it all off the lower unit would not turn because of ice in the gearcase... I bought Yamalube and pumped it into the gearcase, changed the rollup door in my shop, (it was 3 inches too narrow ), and pushed the boat into the shop. Came back after a week, leaving the motor tilted up on the transom saver and noticed some oil on the ground. Lowered the motor and watched in amazement as the oil poured out over the prop shaft. The prop is off of the motor, BTW. I had one quote of around $500 to replace all the seals and impeller. I did my 20hp Johnson, together with Boatman, so I am going to attempt this one as well. Also I need to have the skeg welded. Check my post on the "other" board in the restoration forum to see what I am up against....
  11. Yep, and man was I disapointed! I'll ask my brother in law who is an AME to weld it up, or there is a welder in town that can do it also.
  12. Yes I am sure it is coming out of the prop seal, I watched it run out as I tilted the motor down........ I understand you have the ability to weld aluminum....*hint* *hint*
  13. I need to get another lower unit for my 1985 Yamaha 150 hp, i went to work on stripping carpet today and found a big puddle of oil on the floor under the motor , it is leaking out of the prop shaft. As well, the skeg is missing a peice so i think I might be better off to get another one.
  14. What should a LMS 332c be worth? I am looking at a used unit with puck, tansducer and original box. No maps.... I won't post what he is asking, because I think it may be a bit high. BTW the fellow is not from the board.
  15. I wax.....
  16. Like a number of you I started out as a paper boy, I had all of Fenwick in my back pocket. I took over two routes that my older siblings had. I think I had more fun doing that job than any other one. It taught me how to approach people to buy something from me. I used to go door to door selling subscriptions to the Welland Tribune in order to increase my customer base. At least twice a year I would knock on your door to pitch for a subscription. It is too bad that my kids did not have the same opportunity.
  17. I am staring a new job on Tuesday, Technical consultant for a green roof company. In light of the other post I was wondering what was your worst first day on the job you have ever had? For me it was starting a job in a concrete block factory at the tender age of 15. I had to stack the fresh blocks on a pallet. I think I weighed all of 150 punds sopaking wet, on a 6' 3" frame none the less. By lunch time I was DONE!, but kept on going till 5 on determination alone.
  18. NEVER EVER use Pressure treated wood on an alum boat!!!!!!!! The treatment is corrosive and you WILL get a hole where the wood meets the metal. If you wish to use ply, use marine grade plywood seal it with an epoxy or fiberglass resin (all 6 sides) and you will have something that will last.
  19. Heres mine.....
  20. Garry, picture this in your mind's eye. A single hand at the end of a fully extended arm, in a closed fist with one finger, extended skyward. I hope you get a sunburn.....
