  1. terrible mistake, but on the other hand don't think there are to many secret streams between pickering and trenton for steely runs
  2. it's slipping at the higher setting when you lower it it's biting good and dropping rpm- change to a lower pitch prop sounds like a good starting point
  3. hirk has most likely forgot more about a bass boat set up than i'll ever know, listen to him
  4. your close on prop, may have to drop it to a 21p i believe that anywhere from 5000-5500rpm wot your in the ball park, also remember Rangers are built heavy and stable takes a little more to get em going i.e my 363v 18ft ranger boat with a 150 runs 58mph so running 41 seems only iittle off. now where do you got the jackplate set? set the motor to 3.5 inches off the pad and work from there. INSTALL a WATER PRESSURE GUAUGE this has already cost me one engine by the time the alarm goes off when your on plane it's usually to late
  5. only 1 marina here with the good stuff and it's far enough run up the lake not really worth it for me, i have 3 5 gallon gas cans i fill up seeing the shell is just down the road from the shop
  6. OMC specifys premium as the perferred fuel and i prefer no ethanol when i can get it
  7. just filled one tank on the boat for the weekend at a capacity of 136ltrs for the boat filling both tanks is in the neigbourhood of 190 bones when using shell v-power for my 18 ft bass boat this can can get expensive in a hurry how's this gonna impact everyones boating this year, pretty sure i am going to slow it down a bit and try for 4mpg
  8. last summer a lake in the north kawartha/south bancroft district there was a bass still on nest's way into july, watched them guarding fry and passed them by
  9. all 26 people rescued were fined 200 bones from what i heard maybe the city can ponie up some cash for the fd
  10. Terry I agree 100% with you, i wouldn't keep a musky of any size, but why would i get up i arms about someone keeping one themselves for the table or the wall, it's a fish. maybe there should be a harvest taking place, remember the fish of 10000 casts on the kawartha's was always a good sized fish of 40" and over and now with all this c&r see all kinds but in the 30-35 inch range that are more of a nuisance
  11. storing them in the package they come in or tiny zip locks is a cheap and easy way to store lots or harnesses it's when you change em up it can get messy, i store them in bulk in small zip bags and when i change them up i wrap on a lindy rigger or pool noodle ect, in the boat, I also tie up my drop shots before hand and wrap em on a rigger
  12. thanks for sharing, don't get discouraged there there, just being a bit difficult
  13. what is the size of your outboard? a true deep cycle usually has 220cca or less of cranking power but lots of reserve for running electronics and can be near drained and recharged countless times. the dual purpose batterys typically have a lower reserve capacity but a higher cca and shouldn't be drained as as far down as a true dc battery. that being said i run a 27 series dp (dual purpose) to crank over my 150 evinrude and it runs a hds-8 lowrance hummingbird fisihfinder and a talon and have fished all day without any issues, did 6 hours in the cold the other day and battery voltage never dropped below 12.2 and engine started no prob
  14. great riding suv have had many through the shop over the years and not a great deal of issues to be had, and what i have seen not overly expensive to repair, thought he 3.5l v6 doesn't seem to get much better gas mileage in my friends avalanche than my 4.8l v8 in my seirra
  15. hey cliff there is also ship and shore right in dunsford, his cover work that i have seen is nice he does all the boats from mclarens and buckeye
  16. well i would feel bad and it's not your fault, just remember any damage done to your vehicle by her neglect of not tying the dog should be her responsibility to cover
  17. x3 on the shimano reel or a diawa
  18. since everyone wants a user pay system in place, i guess i should expect a check for the taxeds i paid that purchased the helo's boats trucks and training and provided there paycheques as well? this is what we pay for and if the people were stupid to bad one day it may be you that needs rescuing then you'll be whining about it on OFC.........
  19. thats the best idea
  20. how many wires in the bundle if there is 3 and a grounf 14/3 you could split it what else is it running/
