  1. went out this morning 8 ish and went looking for green today variety of methods the jig/pig was the most productive today followed by weightless texas rigged senko out till 130 today managed 7-8 bass not overly productive today but fun.
  2. can you tell me why i should pay for access to a "man made" lake that was built and maintained by public money to begin with. will i need a 2 year contract to fish in it will there be a penalty if i fish in another lake? no different than the mnr fiasco, take the moneys it generates cut its services and spend it's money elsewhere, parks canada has had years to make improvements and i am not willing to pay for them, i pay for enough things now
  3. so for ten years my increased mill rate for waterfront property went where? seeing i get no extra services from the cokl. rubbish for sure always looking for a way to gouge how about toll roads as well for the 115/35 28 12 and 11 highways just to make sure no one wants to come to the kawarthas. they want increased revenues then they need to increase tourism by way of making the area more appealing to visitors they have obviously squandered the money collected from the system for the last 50 years so what will collecting a fee resolve, as usual with goverment it will cost more to collect than they will earn
  4. I like light weight, i can pitch and cast with my cores all day long, revo not so much it's a heavy reel that i don't really care for
  5. till bass season, longest week of the year till pitchen docks and checking out bikinis. always those last minute items we seem to forget but got the crazy glue toothpicks and bobber stops in the boat already and from the looks of the forcast may need an umbrella in the boat
  6. no don't be concerned the yamalube break in lube has a different smell to it
  7. must of been the property tax increase this year to cover the cost, really a bosten whaler for the kawarthas is serious overkill and a waste of our tax dollars. as for out running it if they can follow where i run at 60mph they can lay all the charges they want
  8. i don't feel that it will be a productive presentation throughout most of ontario our bass fishing is somewhat different than the souths, that being said it is just another presentation and cant see what the big deal about using it would be, i would imagine a snagged rapala is more dangerous than a umbrella rig.
  9. on sturgeon 2 times i have been stopped by the opp in 9 years living here, one time was to say hello never checked for anything other than a floating flashlight polite and seemed to be able to drive the boat, other time was 2011 chashed me from emily creek to snug harbour area and they were pissed that i didn't see them or couldn't catch me they checked everything 3 times looking for something wrong was accused of doing a u-turn to avoid them for whatever reason after 20 minutes that other site there search they left and were even more anniyed when i suggested they get a faster boat. also one episode on scugog years back I'll let fishindevil tell you about that

  12. wish someone would catch the neverending supply I seem to be getting on sturgeon this year average 3 per outing so far this year bit off around 6 times as well i would love to think they were 10lb eyes bt really fish the edges in 7-12 ft of water the stinky things are everywhere
  13. i apoligize it does appear that yammy discontinued hdpi 2 strokes for this year
  14. craig yammy still makes and offers it 2-stroke hpdi system thought the 250 hp sho 4 stroke is the bomb
  15. yes Bernie but you also know that we turn wrenches for a living and understand the engineers came out with a pm schedule for a reason and we will usually follow it on our own equipment cause who wants to work on there equipment when everyone else is fisihing

  17. had a tiburon with a 2.7l v6 and drove the snot out of it for 527000 km before being wrote off in a collision, would still be driving it otherwise, never really had any major issues with it couple wheel bearings power window motor buy another in a second. currently have a 2010 accent for a run around car so far has 70k no issues with it
  18. they were the best engines omc built, do a compression check on them thre were pretty much bullitproof other than the odd vro failure in the oil mixing
  19. lol it happens to us all.if my wife knew...............
  20. do as the manual suggest's is the best way to ensure best possible break in and engine life, i know it's tough though, on my yammy sled for the first 200k couldn't go over 7000rpm then for next 300 couldn't go over 8000rpm with only the occasional wot blast to 10.8000rpm but it was worth it after 13000km doesn't use a drop of oil
