  6. i would guess it's the lower element and yes it can be replaced, have replaced several in my tank over the years just remember turn off the hydro and drain the tank first ( guess how i know that )
  7. would have to guess that there playing with the dam in fenlon falls as well, was suprised to see ice cover right to bobcaygeon last weekend usually anything from birchpoint to little bob can be wide open in the middle, never froze at all last year
  8. was out on my lake sledding (sturgeon) lots of ice on saturday but wasn't stopping as it was inconsistent from 3 inches to 6 inches and of course stayed away from traditional bad spots. parks canada has really been playing with the scugog river dam logs in and out over lasr several weeks, last thursday dam had one sluice open with little water and saturday they removed enough logs that both sluices were torrent this will have an effect on ice as far as moorings marina in the channel use common sense and don't travel alone
  9. someone just did that on eels lake and killed his sister when the jeep went through
  10. i get both in the shop on regular basis and really buy the one you like, i find the ford has many more issues with there suspension then the dodges (ball joints tie rods, wheel bearings axles) the dodge is more prone to electrical glitches and poorer overall fit and finish and the odd blown engine/transmission (4.7l piston knock and valve seats falling out) seen a couple hemis with rods out the sides of the block but were driven hard) If your buying the ford get em to throw in a spark plug replacement
  11. don't really see to many issues with seinna's but I'll list what i can 1: runflat tires that come oem seldom last 40k 2: soft rear suspension, don't like taking a heavy load 3: they can be tough on front control arm bushings. 4: changed many rear a/c lines on these vans 5: outside door handles seize up sometimes overall the seinna or the odyessy are the best mini vans out there you'll be happy with it
  12. yup i would have been 534.47
  13. part of the problem is to keep the cost of the new car down they use more all in one parts, like unservicable ball joints, just makes them more expensive to repair
  14. 670 was a great engine, put some 44 carbs and big pipes and hold on
  15. seen some people walking there dogs on sturgeon lake, figured wth and did a run up and down on the sled though don't need much ice at 100mph
  16. I would stick with the gmc, if that's what you like, brand loyalty aside, gmc has a stronger drivetrain and a better ride than the toyota, the ford is a gas guzzler supreme but will do everything you ask of it and more, toyota easy to say will have a new car warranty and for the most part somewhat higher quality than the other two if resale is your thing can't beat a toyota
  17. off a white lake road, not much of one but that's the access
  18. I don't know I'll take battery issues over tailgates falling off and differentials letting go
  19. Sinker you want wheel weight lead come and get it, have 10-12 lbs in a bucket
  20. I find many of these later model fords have sub standard batterys if its a 2005 and a oem battery i would really be looking there first before driving yourself nuts looking for phantom loads
  21. we all love hydro, but i would think them billing you for a service that your not recieving is fraud
  22. awesome
  23. no way if toronto gets a nfl team next thing they'll want a hockey team
  24. nice to get out and get a couple. no end of the world darn better make that minimum payment
  25. wayne not sure whar roi is but i figure return of sanity would be immediate lol
