  1. I wouldn't let you in my house with that "Mr. T" starter set you've got around your neck... if I didn't know ya!
  2. Take it to a dealer or brake specialist... you'll be better off in the longrun.
  3. You aint the only one Bubba! ... I know for a fact I'd have missed my boat a helluva lot more! When the Man of the House announces he's goin' fishin', the Woman of the House only needs to say one of two things... either, can I come with you... or, Go! There's lots worse things a man can be doin' than sittin' on a Lake tryin to outsmart a critter with a brain the size of a matchhead!!!
  4. ... I know a fella that will debate that with you, but it isn't me!... I feel the same way about my spinning tackle. ... and I own baitcasters too, but I don't usually cast with them... except for my heavy Musky/Pike stuff. I use 7' baitcasting rods and round baicasting reels(Bass tackle) to drop-shot my Sabiki rigs... and I would rather troll with a baitcaster too.
  5. No simulation on a Lowrance/Eagle???... that sucks!!!... I mark some of my best fish in simulation mode!
  6. Should be just right!
  7. All that's true, but he wants to know about baitcasters! ... all you're really missing is a bunch of backlashes!
  8. Really???... you have fishin' tackle?... do you ever use it???
  9. HA!!! I was wonderin' when y'all were goin' to do the dirty deed and get ugly bumps!!! Great report and pics y'all!!!
  10. That's a very nice boat Mike!!! ... too bad it's a tiller eh!
  11. Yup! Console all the way!!! ... damn the tillers!!!
  12. Yup! Great report and pics!!! ... by the color of those 'Gills it looks like the water is still cold but warming up there. I can't tell exactly, but it looks like there's a few Redear Sunfish mixed in with the 'Gills there? Maybe you should've done a Steelhead report with the Trout pic eh!!! Thanks for taking the time to post!!!
  13. Excellent report and pics Cliff!!! Looks like high quality "Quality Time" spent with the fam!!! I usually quit using a lure when the fish start biting it too Lookin' forward to many more reports like this one!!! (maybe even a fish pic or 2)
  14. When I was a kid, I didn't wait around for an adult to take me fishin'.
  15. Golf Clubs??? Golf Clubs??? We don't need no stinking Golf Clubs!!! I always thought you were a pretty stand up guy Brian... but now this!.... I just don't know? Let's just say I'm very disappointed in you.
  16. Ok, everyone that knows me on this board should know I was kiddin' with my first 2 posts to this thread. I agree with the article in the main post to this thread... but not completely. It really depends on the species and body of water. Your local marine biologists are aware of these facts and take them into consideration when making the creel, size, and slot limits. Some species may need to breed at least once before being harvested, hence a minimum size limit (like our state wide 9" minimum length limit for Crappie here). Other species may have too many small fish and not enough medium sized fish for that certain body of water, thus a slot limit. Forage fish control may also need to be taken into consideration, too many tiny forage fish is another reason to have a minimum size limit on a certain species. Too many large forage fish may mandate a conservative creel limit on larger fish. Too many large sport fish in a body of water may make a liberal creel limit on them necessary. I personally am not above taking matters into my own hands if I find a body of water or an area in a body of water with too many stunted fish, down here in the south it's usually Sunfish and mainly Fliers. I'll catch every one of them I can and cut them in half and send them to the bottom of the lake for other fish and aquatic life to feed on. I'll do this until the numbers have been reduced so that they aren't as easy to catch anymore. I'll then leave the area and won't return for a year. After the year is up, I'll return to find some of the most beautiful Bluegills and Redear Sunfish you've ever seen. I'm not saying this method is for evryone or every area, but it works for me down in the south here. Feel free to verbally punish me if you so desire... I thrive on the abuse!!!
  17. We used to have Brookies down here, but not anymore... we ate them all!!!
  18. Glad to hear everything worked out for you in the end Bubba Rick! Really lookin' forward to seein' some fishin' reports from ya!!!
  19. Excellent report, pics, and fish!!! I feel for ya on the sunstroke, I get heat exhaustion a couple times a year down here and it aint no fun! Ya gotta acclimate yourself slowly after being cooped upand wrapped up all winter... yer not from Alabanana yanno! Take a little Codine if you can, it will help.
  20. How in the world do you expect to get a tan sitting under an umbrella??? ... may as well get yourself a nice frilly parasol!
  21. Just ask yourself these 2 questions. 1. Do I want to be a bum all my life? 2. ... or do I want to amount to something? ... your decision.
  22. ... and that's the reason I don't watch fishing shows... or even television for that matter! The internet!!!... that's where it's at!!! Real people, real fish, real time.... TV sux ballz!
  23. But there's SO MUCH MEAT on the big ones!!!
  24. Yardwork/till and plant a veggie garden, and maybe a couple games of Croquet with Ol' Yeller.
