  1. That small load tester will also show the voltage as soon as you connect it.
  2. Load tester. I've had batteries that when checked with a voltmeter showed between 12.3-12.5 volts, add a small light and they dropped to less than 8. That's called a surface charge.
  3. If you just want to test battery voltage then this will do. https://www.princessauto.com/en/digital-multimeter/product/PA0008347676 If you want a battery load tester, I bought one 2 weeks ago they were 1/2 price at PA, it works from small to large and different batteries and does all except Lithium Ion. https://www.princessauto.com/en/12v-digital-battery-analyzer/product/PA0009067968
  4. Look here. https://www.wholesalemarine.com/trailer-disc-brakes/
  5. A lot of people do stupid stuff.
  6. My jack stands are about 10x10 at the base and unless you are doing gymnastics or something with your partner we don't need to know about, no, they have never moved.
  7. Some call them a floor jack too, https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=trolley+jack
  8. I must have gone to the same school of blocking up the trailer. Makes it easy.
  9. Well you can't keep them in the box of the truck while in the hotel, so, take them inside.
  10. Amsoil 75-90 synthetic.
  11. Storing on concrete is an old wives tale, are you an old wife?
  12. Yes, just high enough to get the tires off the floor too, no flat spotting. It's a good time to check/regrease the wheel bearings, no point in waiting until spring, then it becomes a mad rush. All the oil changes done, drain the tank and fuel lines, change spark plugs. Check/tighten all the nuts and bolts on the trailer, lights, wiring. Any rope tie downs or mooring lines that look rotten, change then out before they fall apart when you need them. Check wiring and connectors in the boat, downrigger plugs, etc.
  13. Yes, same as using tugboats pulling nylon nets for harvesting lake trout and white fish, that was not part of the equation when they were subsistant harvesting over the long period. Heck nylon wasn't even invented until 1939. Same goes for using spotlights for night hunting.
  14. Seems kind of an oxymoron that if there were no pacific salmon other than early seeding of some chinook and coho failed miserably. Pinks were not really all that successful until around mid 1950's, so how can bow hunting for salmon other than Atlantics be recognized as something FN's did that far back. Other than Atlantics, they were not there.
  15. Hahahaha, back to the golf course and got paid even when loosing.
  16. Just a disaster waiting to happen.
  17. Key off, yes you can. Most of the ATV batteries have 2 rates, something like 10 amps for 1 hour or 2 amps for 5-6 hours. I like the slow method. Don't overcharge AGM batteries, they don't like it.

That should make their hometown newspaper.
  19. I would drain that gas and take it to a recycle place, then get a bit of new gas and run it in a big garbage can or ear muffs just to see if it will still start.
  20. The tester will adjust to the level of the battery it needs to test, otherwise you get an inaccurate reading.
  21. Now comes the real test, will it hold. Once you turn off the charger, don't hook anything up to the battery, let it sit for 24 hours and then check with your meter to see what the voltage is.
  22. Leave it on for a day, trickle charge won't do any damage.
  23. What Terry said, you "equalize" the cells by getting it to bubble hard for a while, if your charger has a manual/auto mode, go with the manual for a couple hours.
  24. Lets put it this way, it can't hurt to open it up and check the levels AFTER it has been charged. Then if it's low add distilled water, I use a turkey baster tool. Once it's up to the proper level, use the baster to suck up and squirt the fluid back in to stir it up. Then recharge. If you have a smart maintainer, it may bring it back to life for a few more seasons. I leave mine connected ALL the time to do the job it's intended for, ATV and boat.
  25. You will be glad to know that the 1500 RAMS will no longer be getting the spaghetti motor after Jan 2023,
