  1. Put it this way, you order from Cabela's, they will tell you exactly how much the total bill will be, shipping, duty, GST/PST, the whole enchilada. When dealing with other on line outfits from the US and you buy items that were originally imported into the US, then you will pay extra duty depending on the classification. The expect to get raped by FedEx,UPS,or any other big name shipper. Like it was said above, the only reasonable shipper is US Postal Service, cheap and efficient.
  2. If there's no tag, you might have a bunch of 'splainin to do when they check you on the water. Not worth the ticket.
  3. You got my vote for Judge Randy
  4. The CTEK charger is fully automatic and doesn't actually turn completely"off", it goes into a float and maintenace mode which is a sort of standby. Whne the battery voltage drops down a bit through natural discharge, it turns back on. I leave mine hooked up to the ATV all the time, great little charger and good warrantee.
  5. I'm sure they are probably waiting for you to put out the table and have breakfast with them like these folks do: http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=196...ient=firefox-a#
  6. Ya, 1/2 price off nothing in stock means they won't have a great loss.
  7. Octane is used to prevent detonation in high compression motors(it causes it to burn slower), and, when used in lower compression motors does the same, over time, causes fouling and carbon build up. I've seen a few where the carbon build up on the piston crown started to ignite, glow like charcoal, then you have further problems. That's why you shouldn't run high octane where it's not needed. Get the newer ethanol formulated stabil instead.
  8. NO, no, no, don't try to skip the premium octane part of my question, I saw what Big Cliff wrote, you come up with an answer why you should use premium octane gas in a low compression engine. I'm aware of what ethanol does and how to aleviate that problem.
  9. Now could you tell us why anyone would want to use a high level octane in a relatively low compression engine, apart from the point that it may not have any ethanol in that grade fuel. What does octane do?
  10. You're in Brooklyn...you don't have any snow there..just wait for sunday, it will all melt anyway.
  11. Not a 2 joke engine.."This 205 cc 2 stage snow thrower is powered by an unreliable Briggs and Stratton engine, hahahaha." Like Rick said slowly turn the choke off before working it, takes a minute or so to warm up.
  12. Okay, I've still got my old instructor card, but I guess the rest will have to carry a Louisville slugger with a small T handle on the end to make it look like a cane..
  13. If you wear your camo gear, the wife can't give you the honey-do list when you're watching NASCAR.
  14. Are you sure about that, just called a place that's selling them over the counter, I still have both of mine.
  15. On my old boat I had the regular lightbulb version,red/green front and white glowstick on the back, enough to keep you legal and from getting run over by the bassboat nuts(not all) that just absolutely have to go 100mph in the dark.
  16. So much for rootbeer or should that be rootbear.
  17. I think it's just part of nature that women should be jumping guys all the time, never mind the bangy boards, they just get in the way.
  18. Understood, ya,I guess someone has to draw the line somewhere.
  19. Ya, excellent article that everyone should read & heed and maybe practice on a small inland lake. As for neutral bouyancy, don't know, but it would be sure nice to know if the good ship lollipop is going down or to just bob along at gunwale depth. I think if I was to leave a boat moored, I would have an auto float switch with a small bilge pump, just to prevent the hassle.
  20. Amen.
  21. Don't hold your breath on that one, if you go further into the website, you'll find out X border shipping will bite you big time, one fellow ended up paying around $400CDN, so no saving there.
  22. Caveat emptor...buyer beware.. if you expect to have a somewhat detailed list of repairs, then I would think the buyer should pay and then keep the list unless the seller wants to pay for it. As is, where is, leaves the eyebrows in a raised state, unless you have the capability of wrenching yourself...
  23. As much as you lol, there's a difference between complaining and asking for a possible change that may benefit both the GOSD and the amount of entrants that would buy tickets and fish. Your response adds absolutely no value. GO Fish.
  24. jds63, check your PM's
  25. I don't know if anyone has contacted them for this years prize packages, however the idea of weekly tickets has been mentioned numerous times with absolutely no interest from them. I wouldnt say I complained, just a reasonable suggestion that I'm sure would give some others the opportunity to enter the event, albeit they may/would have to settle for less of a prize package. Just an idea.
