  1. That's why you read the regs available on line and printed, then you have no recourse to blame the guy that heard something because you read it yourself along with the EXCEPTIONS, don't be lazy.
  2. Not often, but I've seen it years ago, problem is that the south shore access really doesn't freeze all that well. Oh well, and they'll be allowed to vote and pass on their genes.
  3. Man can't live on fish alone..yes, hunt a bit like a vulture and scrape up some road pizza.
  4. Maybe that model fit your butt the best according to you,but you know opinions, like butts, everyone has one and they all stink. Ask the guy that lost his belt on his pull-my-arse, 7 miles out on Lk simcoe at -20, not impressed with a newer machine.
  5. 1971, worked in a metal and wood furniture factory in Orono, Curveply, pretty much slave labour at $1.50 an hour but that's all there was in the local area. That lasted 7 weeks and I swore I would never work for another of that background as long as I live.
  6. So you must have had a real fight with that pressure crack, it must have pounced all over you and the quad, finally it gave up and only got to dent your rim Or maybe it should go like, I was buzzin along and all of a sudden I hit this pressure crack that I was unable to avoid due to (you fill in the blank) and now I have a damaged rim.
  7. If I remember correctly, make sure the cam/vid switch is on the camera setting. On the monitor, you should see whatever you are pointing the camera at, in or out of water, no difference.
  8. Wussies, Bic lighter and some kerosene for aftershave.
  9. How deep is the water, is the bottom lower than the depth range you are using? Maybe another bad Humminbuzzard, thought they had a bunch of rejects last year.
  10. A Honda or a Yamaha.
  11. Hmmm, kinda leaves us hanging, are they playing with big bare wires or what
  12. Ya, and they're allowed to vote and breed.
  13. Unless you have taken the course, you have no idea what you are blabbering about, I took the course around 1983/84, was a Breath Tech until I quit, FnA is right, 8 light beer in one hour put me at 120mg%, for about 1 hour then dropped off to .80 for a couple hours for testing purpose...I was soused for about 3 hours.
  14. Sometimes 5 minutes of inconvenience time can be spent meeting your local constabulary, you never know when you may need his help some day and then he remembers what kind of a RICHARD you were. Richard is the long form name for D. You want to check my paperwork, feel free, nothing to hide.
  15. Will you be my dad and buy me a car too.. , I paid for YD training, the difference in insurance for the first year, and they bought their own cars, NO Loans needed. I'm sure either of your choices would do well, although I think the Nissan may be less, similarly equipped.
  16. That would appear to be a 'merican label, I don't know why sooo many profess to chance bad luck when it only costs $3.45 to refill a 5lb tank, over time you would actually be saving money.
  17. Find the widest and deepest 15-16 you can get, and forget the console, that's for those who....you need room to manouever.
  18. Quick, run over to your local Wmart, I got a 4' hose about 2 weeks ago for $15, long enough to keep the tank out and the heater in the portable.
  19. Ya but the pic of my pile was taken after the first 10 minutes as you can see they are all frozen equally well
  20. It is best to keep the transducer under the bottom of the ice, reduces "surface clutter signals". I used a couple of pieces of threaded rod with a hook to hang on my box, the bottom end had a small bracket to keep the transducer level.
  21. We just came back from Idle Tyme Fish Camp, we will be going back for the 4th time, excellent service with Shawn and Terra.
  22. Well our annual trip to Nippissing with Idle Tyme outfitters has come to another happy ending. Arrival for the first couple guys was at 3:30pm on thursday, the remaining three came later that evening. We were heartily greeted by Terra and Shawn, new owners and operators of Idle Tyme, given a quick tour of the upper level accomodations in their house. Lots of room would be an understatement with all the amenities available to make it an enjoyable stay. Both friday and saturday were early starts, up at 5:30am with a hearty breakfast and then off to the huts where Shawn had already cleared the holes and fired up the wood stoves. Within 5 minutes of the first minnow down, wham..jumbo perch! This is good..pretty much non stop action with a bit of a lull around lunchtime, then by 1:30, it picked up again. The first day garnered a herring a couple of keeper walleye, one slot size, and about 60+ honest keeper perch. We probably released 3 to 4 times that many. The second day was almost a replica of the first. I came back a bit early each day to get the supper going for 6, Ragout for the first and a real Tourtiere du Lac St Jean for last night. We had hoped for a few more hours in the huts this morning, but, two long days in the fresh air took their toll, we had a departing breakfast, packed and hit the road back home. Without a doubt, we'll be booking another trip to Idle Tyme. I'm sure 12footsprinkbok will add a few pics he took.
  23. Ha, picked up my 4 ft hose at Wmart, $15 and had the new 5lb tank purged and filled for $3.49 at Costco.
  24. -18 here this morning, no doubt added a bit to the ice and firmed up soft parts.
  25. Unfortunately they are molded on, I tried once with a broken transducer, no luck, but I have done the splicing and cut the transducer cable down to 6 feet.
