  1. Oh, oh so, like WoodenBoater said, darn, need new coke bottles.
  2. Art; I've looked and looked, tried all the different background theme settings, I don't have a "last auto saved". I use Mozilla F/Fox.
  3. X2 on what Sinker said. On top of that, you can use the cheap 12 ga. "clod of lead" 5rounds for about $4.99 compared to 4 or 5 times that for the sabot slugs for rifled barrels.
  4. You really don't think people do things properly to ensure the proper result. If at first you can't see, increase the voltage, get brighter bulbs, get more headlamps, put HID in a flashlight and tape it to the bumper. It's unfortunate we can't buy rear facing ball bearing launchers to take out the nuclear meltdowns that people think is actually doing others a favour...
  5. Ya, I think the general feeling is that buckshot does more damage than good. Too many wounded deer left for coyote food. There are a bunch of multi purpose shotguns out there withat come with different barrels.
  6. They've been out there for over 2 weeks already.
  7. http://www.oodmag.com/community/showthread.php?64737-Looking-for-a-Hilarious-Ice-Fishing-Duo Saw this and immediately was ready to nominate 2 contestants, but I don't want a contract put on me..
  8. Tell ya what, we've got an over abundance of them around here lately. I tried to water my sidewalk and hoped they'd slip and fall on the ice but no luck. I'll send a few over to you for recruiting.
  9. Ah yes, however, Lebaron doesn't force you to by a membership, and, if you do get one, you get 10% off your merchandise. I don't think MEC gives you that.
  10. And I'll bet you had to walk uphill both ways eh Lew, no boots only stocking feet...just pulling yer hose.. Honestly, at least you don't have to worry about the mailman tromping through the flowers.
  11. I had a 2 man version, it worked so well that 12footspringbok adopted it and has been mercilessly beating it on his freqent outings. it's still holding up well. I bought another single size, very good quality. They are probably top of the line when it comes to portables. I bought mine through Riverside Outdoors in Thunder Bay. He ships via Greyhound to your closest stop. Took 2 days and about $70 for the shipping.
  12. I took a quick run into Barrie tonight, go to the (MEC) Mountain Equipment Co-op outdoorsy place. I was in there once when they opened about 4-5 years ago, wasn't really impressed, looked mostly like a yuppy store where you pay extra if you can get your nose in the clouds. Well I spied a nice coffee travel mug, good quality, price not overly outrageous. Go to the counter to pay, the lady asks for my membership, ah sorry don't quite understand. Well you have to have a $5.00 membership here. So you want me to spend $5.00 just so I can buy something here for $25. I said politely, you can keep you coffee mug, I'll donate the $5 to the local animal shelter. Rant over. BTW, the local animal shelter will get 20 times that in a donation at Xmas for the poor critters.
  13. Oh boy, nothing like banging on the drum for renting, just like leasing, never get ahead, keep filling someones elses pocket. At those calculations above, you can buy a new one every 4-5 years with installation and never have any headaches either.
  14. Get the newer vented through the wall model, much more efficient. Tankless sometimes requires having a manifold installed that regulates how much hot water goes to different spots, laundry, bathtub, kitchen, etc. I bought my own about 10 years ago, around the $500 mark. You're easily paying that in rent every year. Figure it out, about every 2-3 years you buy the company another one.
  15. Hahahha, that's like Marks Workwear, should be Victoria's Secret, more tutu's and pink pyjamas that WORK WEAR.
  16. If I had to trust anyone out there, it would be Brian and Terry and a couple of others that were there that day(Sunday), not those numpties that were babbling like a bunch of buffoons about how unsafe it was. I would agree to stay away from the east end where the river runs in and probably way down the west end where it runs out for a couple more weeks.
  17. Too bad they don't make them anymore, ideal machine.
  18. Well welcome aboard, give it a couple more weeks and the ice should be ready. If you really can't wait, there's always that little puddle down by Georgian College that gives up some small pike to amuse you. Even better, there's still guys catching some perch around the Barrie marina.
  19. Look around and you will find, pretty sure this should fit yours. http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEI-LOWRANCE-EAGLE-HS-WS-TRANSDUCER-PART-90-36-NEW-/221328471348
  20. Yup, the same thing snowmobilers do at night, warp drive, over driver their headlights and then crash into things like snow stumps and ice huts.
  21. Ah ya let the secret out, Santa Claus is gonna drop something down your chimney and it won't smell good...
  22. Don't think you can, but here's a link to the instruction manual. http://www.lowrance.com/Root/Lowrance-Documents/X52_%20X59DF_0151-211_111904.pdf
  23. Something akin to giver...power out of the slide..
  24. No Art, this is a completley different scenario taught during (DDC) Defensive driving courses. You're trying to stop of a rain laden, or hard pack snow or icy surface, you slam it into neutral or clutch it. Try it sometime if you can find a healthy patch of ice down there. Hard to explain, but it works.
