  1. Left over scraps go into the pot and make a tasty green pea soup, or lentils or whatever other kind you like.
  2. Had to laugh at the one on 640AM this morning, he said you better buy some expensive candy or Candy might not come across.
  3. Clue me in, what's a "direct wire"? To provide 12 inside the trailer from the car battery? Like Ohio said, most likely a frayed wire somewhere.
  4. Some people have their priorities in the right direction..
  5. You better be careful, somebody's going to kidnap you and cuff you to the stove..
  6. Good ending to the problem. I'm almost wondering if they are the old traps from a trapper that passed away and nobody picked them up.
  7. That's a big one, I laugh at a lot of the ones that just have to drink bottled water. I pay about $2.00 for a cubic meter, that's a 1000 litres or 2000 - 500ml bottles. Run it through a Britta and it gets rid of the chlorine taste. If I really want to get cheap, I just go downstairs and fill from the sandpoint. I realize there are the ones who have horrible ground water, but you can save a lot there.
  8. I can only speak from years ago in N Dakota, half price or less, facilities to make you smile and keep the kids happy. Just amazing. Washroom facilities were pretty much spotless, the park rangers were friendly and knowledgeable, everything in the way of facilities was well laid out. Activities to keep anyone from being bored.
  9. 8HP would move you along quite easily, Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki.
  10. Ok, wasn't quite sure if that was a shock in the middle or a solid turnbuckle to keep the rear tag extended.
  11. Have to ask, does the tag axle have any suspension or only the drive wheels? Looks pretty good.
  12. You might want to think twice. The original bolt is of a particular grade, maybe 5 or 8. Watch this and make your choice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2-rPgeETps
  13. I can just imagine, the holding open clip lets go, giver gas and the dm thing folds shut with you inside...
  14. I can tell ya what does freeze, you can just about whizz icecikles, never mind going for a #2.
  15. Well I can tell ya, living in a tent at -50, we each had 2 burner coleman stoves with 2 tanks, one burning, one refilled and ready to go. At 1 hour and 55 minutes you put the refilled tank very close to the side burner and heat the naphtha, otherwise on flame out, the second tank wouldn't light up. That's on top of a coleman lantern and an alladin blue flame heater going. Did we have tent eye.. Regular motor oil was stiff, like solid. I had a trailer tire that was completely deflated but didn't go down, that's how stiff the rubber was. And these weiners whine at -15.
  16. Every time you drive up highway 11, they still have that one on the post way up in the air. Too bad they went out of business.
  17. Not an insult, everyone can be annoying..to someone. I found him to be informative, passed a lot of true info to anglers, didn't put up with the bull granola such as restocking Atlantic Salmon. I know of him, met him once and although he may rub you the wrong way, he's not a buddie. I wish there were a few more of him around that would "pontificate" in the right direction.
  18. Well in upteen years living in CF down bags out in the woods, they go in a stuff sack, roll them out, shake them up to regain loft and you're warm.
  19. No, wasn't you going diving, I just heard it from Mars.
  20. Ya remember the story of the drunk that was going to dive and come up in the shack next over....nuts.
  21. Ya, that's been posted up before, does it comply with some sort of safety standards, lights, brake, etc. Then does it need to be insured for liability, and all those other things.
  22. It's probably not for everyone but I'm sure it serves its purpose. I had a slide in about 20 years ago, a little cramped for 2 adults and 2 kids. I still kick my butt for selling it, it would have been great for going to different lakes or a hunting getaway.
  23. Apples usually don't fall too far from the tree.
