  2. I use the p line 100% fluoro on my main line, along with a spool of power pro for the same reel....been using the p line for three years now and love it...little stiff but hey its fluoro
  3. Here's a question for everyone, and don't laugh, but which side do you put your boat plug in? Whether the flip top or the set screw style, do you put in on the outside-motor side- of the transom or do you put in from inside the boat? Just curious, as I had always put it in from the inside, that way it is easy to pull while your running down the lake to empty an water, but I have seen a lot of newer boats at the ramp that are pushed in from the outer side. For reference point, say it is a 17 ft aluminum boat
  4. Thanks for the report fishmaster.....If I happen to fish the lower grand, i am stopping buy your store just for putting out the effort of some decent fishing reports.......

  9. I have three ugly stick downrigger rods and love them, but I have the ugly stick lite, which I think has a softer tip than the regular rods, There all MH and I have used them for erie eyes as well, wouldn't hesitiate to buy another
  10. I don't have the specifics but for my family's cottage, Sunvolts in Parrysound supplied the system, which is four panels, an inverter and bank of eight batteries....Cottage is completely off the grid, so we have a honda generator as a backup.....Able to run cottage, with a freezer, but we run a propane fridge.... stove....

  15. I just came back from Edmonton today.....Economy is definetly booming...not only oil business...but construction sites on the go all over Edmonton.........In talking to the locals there, they had stated that Saskatchewan has the same potential in the oil fields as northern alberta, just the infastructure is not in place yet.... Who knows? the best gig going maybe real estate in Northern Saskatchewan? Just look at the prices for a single family dwelling in Fort Mcmurray....upwards of 300k for a tiny house....All that said, when I was there paper stated temp in Fort mcmurray was a high of -31 for the day.....too cold for me to work outside......

  21. I'm in the same boat with my mother-in-laws place, where is good spot to get a water pump in the hamilton area?
  22. I f you have a "stomach Flu", as others have said it is more than likely gastorenteritis, for nausea try the gravol, and the "scoots" some immodium, most important is to use excellent hand washing and for the sake of others Stay home! If it is NOrwalk, it should resolve in 24-48 hours
  23. Ditto on the Sealines, I purchased three of the sealine 47 line counters in the last couple of years and have used them for Salmon and eyes on erie, and the work great no problems, In my opinion to buy new reels, whether using dipseys or not it would be worth the investment in line counters, as it's always nice after landing fish to bale to get the takcle right back into "the zone"
  24. Work as an RN in ER
  25. Great report Bob, and I thought everyone had put the boats away
