NF - Smart Home Monitoring
pairofgreenhorns replied to pairofgreenhorns's topic in General Discussion
lol. I used to work at Rogers also. Thats why I was asking for other home monitoring options. Try my best to avoid dealing with Rogers at all cost. Good company to work for, bad company to deal with and the absolute worst customer service. -
LOL. Next time try it without a lure at all. Just cast your line out there and see if you get any hits. Better yet, try it without a boat.

Was speaking with Rogers today about their smart home monitoring packages. Wanted to see if anyone has any experience with it or any other home monitoring alarm system where cameras are installed and you can view it from your smartphone. Any and all advice would be much appreciated. Best, Pairofgreenhorns

Hoping to make a trip to Pasha Lake Cabins, seems like a cool place and maybe a fly-in trip wherever Mike Boerger sends me lol...although he doesn't know that yet. lol -
A followup to my post "How should I handle this"

Dont fret that there is a report in your name, i would write a letter back to this scammer and in that letter write that you never said anything about paying up to 2000 and that you in fact suggested that you go through insurance. in this letter write down what he said about not wanting to go through insurance and that he refused to give you the insurance info. do not put anything in this letter that would be considered admission of guilt including offering a smaller amount of money. I wouldnt worry to much, I would just let it play out. -

Great post and couldn't agree more!!! I know I'll be doing my part. I try to live by the motto of not freezing any fish. I keep only what I will eat for that day. plus fresh food is the way to go IMO. -
excellent shots.

I have a phenomenal tax guy you can use however he doesn't live in Barrie. He did the taxes for my father's global business and now does them for my girlfriend and I. You would have to mail him your stuff as he resides around Windsor Ontario but he is very good. I am in full commission sales so I need a good tax guy and I would recommend him to anyone! PM me if your interested, I too live in Barrie but would rather mail to this guy then find someone closer.

Great fish bud. Im sure getting the itch!!! -
As someone new to fishing I often go into Sail and ask questions to the knowledgeable staff behind the counter (sherway gardens sail). I have been in sales my whole life so it is very easy for me to tell when I am being sold, and I never felt that way. They were genuinely telling me why I may or may not need certain things for my application and they made sense to me. Its the same reason I joined this community, to learn as much as possible because I don't have anyone to teach me. So although to someone very knowledgeable like you Bill, it may seem silly to ask someone behind a counter advice since they may very well not have as much knowledge as you do, for my girlfriend and I it can be very helpful.

I bought my rain gear at a golf proshop and use it for fishing it is much more breatheable then my girlfriends which is made for fishing and was a bit cheaper to boot, cant remember the name off the top of my head but its another option for you to look into
