He probably should have dealt with reporters but he said he was emotional and didnt want to say the wrong thing for whatever thats worth.... phoning into the show he pretty much apologized, took full responsibility for his crappy game, and said its his job to pull his team out of this slump and get things going and that everyone in the room believes in the coaches and its the players that need to be better defensively and bail out there goalie.

Ottawa , Florida, and Calgary are the only ones I could call possible gimmies, Winnipeg always seems to give us trouble if my memory serves me correctly. Detroit and Philly are playing well so those will be tough games and Tampa and Boston will most likely be losses. The chances are very slim, especially given the way we have performed defensively as of late. Even at that we need the other teams to keep losing, which isnt currently happening.

your absolutely right, one of the more astute points made on the forum. he needs to spend more time with a skating coach. it stops any type of explosiveness and hinders him in corners when he misses a check and needs to recover.

i dont have to talk to reimer to know that he was playing crap before carlyle made the comment SO IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HIS THOUGHT PROCESS AT ALL. and i also know that pros deal with sports psychologists to learn ways to cope with such things. you not liking phaneuf is fine but just an opinion, i think he is overpaid as well, but my stats are factual and his arent that bad.

I just bought a house two weeks ago and it was easy to find a mortgage for 2.94% 5 year fixed through a broker, i would never use a bank.... 2.89 fixed was easy to find about 5 months ago and 2.99% is most common now for a low rate. So see if you can get that and then do the math.

I agree that Phaneuf is a frustrating player to watch and tonight he had a terrible game, and he isnt worth the money that he is paid. Although as a defensive defensemen his stats are not that bad. Compared to all other defensemen in the league he is 31st in time on ice and is consistently matched up against the oppositions top line, he has the 37th most shots, the 25th best plus/minus, and the 35th most points. As far as whether he deserves captaincy, none of you (myself included) would have a clue because your not in the dressing room. You dont get the C because your the best player. Obviously head office saw something in him. He drives me crazy sometimes but I also think he gets a bad rap more then he should.

No clue where this is coming from Misfish. All i said is Reimer has to go and I blame a couple losses on him letting in ridiculously soft goals. I also mentioned that Reimer isnt playing bad because he lost his confidence just from the one thing Carlyle said. Bernier is our goalie of the future and one of the best in the NHL. Now we just need to improve everything else. we have the 5th most goals against per game 3rd worst penalty kill percentage 6th least shots for per game most shots against per game 7th worst faceoff win percentage These are the issues i speak of, some are system related some are player related

i thought i made it pretty clear that im blaming two of those games on him as i stated if bernier was in net i believe we would have won at least two of the games we recently lost, and this game would likely be tied. you guys all act like reimer just started playing bad, do you not recall him losing the starting role at the beginning of the season???? he rode the pine because he couldnt string wins together, the NHL is not house league where everyone gets the same playing time, you give your team a chance to win, you keep playing, you dont, you ride the pine, and thats exactly how it should be.

ya he should have sat his hot goalie that was winning games and played the goalie that hasnt played well all season long. theres a recipe for a worse record. stop blaming everyone else because you like reimer if the best coach in the world was behind the bench right now reimer would still be letting in soft goals.

i believe if bernier was in we wouldn't have lost 2 of the games we did while reimer was playing. and this game would likely be tied. those soft goals are what costs you a game. it deflates your team soo badly when you cant count on your most important player to save those easy shots. sure there are other games we should have won during the year and sure bernier has had a fair share of bad games. down the stretch is when it matters most though because you need that momentum to carry into the playoffs. we have none now

weird... another odd man rush on a bad change, and even weirder, another goal glove side. Come on boys, lets turn this around!
