  1. Glad I took Patrick up on his off to fish Lake St.Clair, I have never fished there before but it was a lot of fun, as he said we didn't catch any but he had a follow that I could see from the back of the boat that was 6 feet down, that's how clear the water was, I don't think the fishing conditions were ideal as the wind died down, but it was definitely t-shirt weather out there. Going back into the river was a great idea as it gave us a rest from tossing the musky baits , as we used some flipping jigs and spinnerbaits(flipping jigs into cover is probably my favorite way to fish, although seeing a musky follow your bait in and attack is pretty good also). we realized that we didn't have much daylight left and Patrick asked me what I wanted to do, and we both wanted to go and try trolling for one last time, It was a little rough getting out there but the boat handled the waves pretty good with a good driver behind the wheel, we finished our troll and headed back to the launch. One thing about that area is I have never seen so many wind mills in my life , I'm guessing about 150. I have fished with a few people from the board and enjoyed fishing with them all , they all have great passion for the sport. Thanks again Patrick for a great day
  2. Couple nice fat fish, congrats
  3. Congrats, nice picture of a thick looking fish.
  4. Fantastic report, keep them coming. I think after reading your reports ,some people are saying , 'there is another lake I'd like to fish'.
  5. I don't see bass tournaments and tourney anglers the way you do, some guy works all week and likes to enter a bass tournament(once a month) and has the money to buy nice gear , a nice boat and enjoy his weekend and you think that is wrong? what other changes do you think would save our fisheries?
  6. I don't think Facebook was the way to go(only one guys opinion), people should let Top Bass handle it and make an announcement, they will see the big picture.
  7. Nice video, never knew you could jig for them in deep rivers or chanels
  8. Great looking fish, makes a nice avatar picture.
  9. Bluffers Park, rouge river down by the lake, Rice Lake Bewdley, Lake Simcoe, just to name a few. Simcoe is very close to you so try there first, take a drive and take your rod with you assuming you are fishing from shore. Maybe tell us what you like to fish for and how long you have been fishing. when people join the board , they usually introduce themselves ...just saying
  10. Cool video and great to hear you were out fishing and enjoying the great outdoors.
  11. many years ago I used to troll big flatfish on Gbay, one black with silver fleck and one orange and black dots, the catch ratio was something like 7-1 for the black one. the orange one just didn't work for me. I have never fished the moon river, but I'd try around shoals and drop offs, maybe at the ends of channels. One area of Georgian bay where people ice fish for walleye there is a few musky hanging around , I fish that area all summer. Good luck and make a report when you come back
  12. did you have insurance? in the last 12 months didn't you also get a snowmobile ripped off? i had a boat at the cottage in the driveway and someone was trying to steal the omc outdrive until the neighbor came out and called the cops, he gave them a description of the vehicle and was hold they think they know who it was, they lived in port mcnicoll, never had a problem after that and always had insurance on it.
  13. This might be an option for short term rentals . www.airbnb.com
  14. sorry for your loss, i'd set up a trail cam to see how often they are around
  15. Get well soon , luckily you're able to type this
  16. Product number is 79-8537, a couple of stores have them in scarborough, some stores have them listing at a higher price, but I would imagine they would price match.
  17. try tightening the tension knob on the side, also I find I have less problems when I use 3/8 oz baits or heavier.
  18. Done, the colors on that fish are amazing.
  19. Does anybody know if Rogers offers 1080 on cable or do they only offer max 720dpi ? I recently bought a tv and after trying to set it up I went back to the store and told them that the picture in the the store was way better than mine at home, he said it was because rogers was only 720 , and suggested if I want a better picture to switch companies.
  20. Well after looking at the TV, they agreed you could see the words 'smart vierra as well as two lines at the top and bottom of the screen, it was covered by my extended warranty at Best Buy, I received my original purchase price plus taxes back and bought another TV. I did not get the eco-fee back or the money I paid for the warranty but I think I was treated pretty good and highly believe in warranties for electronics. sorry this is not what the original poster asked but thought I would post what happened to my TV.
  21. if you have a CAA membership card you get a discount of 50% off their paints, I just picked up a few gallons (5) and saved big time, I am probably going to paint after the holidays and just bought the base white and can take the can back and have it tinted in January . I just thought I'd mention this for anyone planning on painting now or in the new year.
  22. Great video, you sure have posted lots of great video's all year. You should get some kind of award from the board(maybe a free hat or something for you and your son)
  23. The one thing I would recommend with the plasma's is to get the extended warranty, I bought a Panasonic a couple of years ago and have a burn in , the technician's are coming to look at it tomorrow, in the middle of the screen in shows 'smart vierra' but only with the lighter colours.Hopefully the warranty covers this.
  24. great videos, what kind of camera setup are you using?
