awesome fish and catching it casting must have been a rush.congrats

I have no idea where to launch, but try some of the back bays for crappie they may still be there. Use a slip float and one inch tube or small jig.good luck.

Sounds like it was one of those days the fish were not biting. I usually use spinnerbaits or maybe a top water plug or buss bait for the toothy critters, on Scugog.

How long are you planning on keeping the boat? if you are going to keep it a couple of years I'd say get a mamual one installed, they are alot cheaper. with the install you have to make sure the cables are long enough or you will need new ones. I just had two cables replaced , they also had to take the motor off and the total cost was $800.

you should have told him when you go fishing everybody uses a different bait and when one is working better then everybody switches to the more productive bait , at least thats how I do it.

I think this weekend Muskies Canada has an event scheduled for the tri-lakes and balsam should be a few boats out there.

I know it's not what you asked for but it looks like a decent package . grew bowrider after looking at it, it is probably rated for alot more than a 75hp,I'd imagine it's rated for a 115hp.

I was just wondering how many rings it had? do you have to cut them in half to see the rings? just curious as I don't see myself doing it anytime soon.

stainless props also have plastic/rubber hubs that will fail if you hit something maybe causing less damage to the lower unit, but causing you to replace the hub. for $120 a year in prop repairs I would stick with an aluminum prop for a 25 hp.

no comment on the sweatshirt....but you guys sure have some good fishing in your area, thanks for sharing.

Wow, not much of a difference between 1st and 10th place.

Does anybody know where the US or Canada is going to come up with this money initially? . From what I understand the Federal Reserve in the US is owned by private companies and I think the US has to borrow the money from the Federal Reserve. Please correct me if I'm wrong. -
There is a marina across from Goreski's and about 1 km south that has rentals with 15 -20hp motors for a fair price. Don't know the name of it though.

As previously stated BPS is clearing out some models of the BPS Extreme reels, a pretty good deal for $39.00. regular price was around $109.I'd phone ahead to get them to hold one if you are planning on going there one day.

Nice pictures, I sure hope you don't live in Scarborough.

If Roy can't help you with the Pete Maina reel . I'd recommend the new Curado 300 series, it's on sale at bass pro for $199. If you want a light rod look at the Fig rods at JB's.

I found some of the better tenants were the ones just starting out on there own . I had a duplex at one time and I used to tell the tenants not to get too friendly with each other , the reason was that if at some point they had a dissagreement with one another I would hear about it. I would probably follow this rule if I lived on top and rented out the basement. I'd try to advertise in a local university to see if you could get a student. good luck.

congrats on the anniversary.....looks like your wife caught the bigger fish.

I think you're always going to see people with stringers of fish, if they are within there legal limit then some people will keep them and others like yourself like to get out on the water for the sport and release your fish so you can catch them the next day. Hopefully you'll be able to catch Musky in Cooks Bay soon, maybe when they hold up there stringer to show you look to see if they have any Musky on it and if they do explain that they have to put them back.

I'm sure all the marina's in the area have launches, I launch in Victoria Harbour and drive by boat to Honey Harbour, about 5-6 miles by boat. Just check the winds and wind direction for the day to make sure it's not going to be too rough.

Considering that there was a task force headed by Barbara Hall to investigate incidents against anglers, I'm sure the authorities will be at his door asking him questions about the incident. I hope people don't stop fishing because of people like this. I think people have the idea that there kids and grand kids want to be able to catch fish in the future off there waterfront properties and feel that if fishermen keep everything they catch that the lake will be fished out, this might explain some of the hostilities people have had. I also think that anybody who has fished infront of someones dock or fished a shoreline has experienced people saying or doing things to try and make them move regardless of race ( one of my favourites is when they let the dog bark at you for 15 minutes while they are in the area and don't tell it to keep quite) . I had one guy make a comment to me that I probably could have called the cops about and said I was scared but I chose to just keep working the shoreline and not let it ruin my day of fishing.

I think you need some smaller hooks. if you are going to get into fishing the streams all the time I'd recommend a fluorocarbon leader tied on or maybe a small swivel after your float, this way if you get a snag you just loose your leader and hook and not your float.

Any suggestions where to fish tomorrow with 30 km/hr wind?

honey harbour area has lots of sheltered areas, plus I hear they have crappie up there in the back bays. -
The flotilla. Whities and a surprise Laker on Simcoe.
