  1. nothing like being out in the great outdoors, getting some fresh air. Maybe the fish will co-operate next time.
  2. Nice pike, again .Thanks for posting
  3. I'ved never seen a Simcoe report with this many Ling and large ones also. I'm also curious the weight on your heaviest one and length.
  4. Congrats on all those lakers. Did you keep track of the largest laker and whitefish for the season?
  5. I'd suggest getting one of these scrapers, the handle is 12 inches long and the blades are 2 1/2 inches long and are pretty durable. I think it will come off with one of these scrapers and some elbow grease.
  6. the closest I've seen them in Toronto is in Bluffer's Park in Scarborough and a couple of days ago at 401/Allen Expressway near the ramp walking in the grassy area. Time to thin out the herd .
  7. not sure if this place is open in the winter but Huronia Bait near Coldwater, is just off the 400 highway
  8. The BPS Carbonlite rods are on sale at BPS for $20 off, at least they were on the weekend. For flipping into lilly pads I'd get a heavy action or extra heavy to pull the fish out quickly. their is a store in Markham that currently has a sale on Kistler rods, I think they have some models around the same price as the crucials.
  9. bump...for more members
  10. you could pick up the Adventure Fishing Map for the area from a local tackle shop. I know there are at least 3 areas that have channels that are 6-8 feet deep in the summer in the Pigeon River ( one is south of the Provincial Park and the others are a little north)
  11. Great report with some nice fish pictures. You guys sure have some great fishing out your way. Did you weigh the second last bass? it looks like a fat one.
  12. only problem is I think it only comes in right hand retrieve http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/descpageRLC...ml?from=tactour
  13. I had an aunt and uncle who owned a cottage in the Port Mcnicoll area and I spent about 5 weeks of the summer there plus every weekend , and fished alot . When I was 16 they bought me a boat (12 foot aluminum and 6 hp chrysler) and I fished as long as it wasn't rough. I'd get up in the morning and go catch my minnows and go fishing, the bass and pike were plentiful back in those days. It's still one of my favourite places to fish.
  14. Congrats on getting the first one out of the way, last fall I was up there and the water was like glass, I was going from one spot to another , when I saw a big swirl on top of the water, I think it was a big musky feeding on a cormorant, as there was a flock of the in the area a few seconds earlier, here is a tip for ya..troll between the north tip of the big island that is infront of the new development that is being built in Port and Sturgeon Point, that's where the above fish is hanging out. good luck
  15. try wwww.traderonline.com , it's the same as our boat trader up here.
  16. there is a Daiwa hsta reel for sale in the OFC classifieds (user JCHUA) asking $140 spooled with line, this reel sells for $180 or more in the stores, a great deal in my opinion. I would buy this daiwa and the Citica. I love my daiwa reels.
  17. try Angling Specialties at Kennedy and Steeles
  18. Congrats on your fish and figuring out where the walleye are.
  19. I am looking at buying a GPS for my vehicle. Can anyone recommend a good one (what brand?) .looking to spend between $100-$300,thanks
  20. great report, I always find those days when the water is like glass tougher. I remember from one of your posts you had a Stratos bassboat, is that a new boat? , looks like a multi species boat.
  21. Amazing post and a trip of a lifetime for some people.
  22. Danielm would get my vote, very knowledgible carp guy, along with Photoz and MJL.
  23. H2O makes some nice baits, there is a guy selling them on a message board in the states.
  24. I know there are pontoon rentals on Rice Lake , I think they rent them out of Bewdley.
