  1. It's probably a lot easier for Canadians to " wing it " and find places to stay without hordes of tourists from other countries to compete with? It's been a long time for me to make it up there, but I still recall having to make reservations and leave a deposit to be sure I could get the weeks I wanted for the next year, especially during peak summer months.
  2. Brian, I am not positive exactly how our system works from state to state, but I think some require you to get plates from their state if you are going to be there for 90 days? Could it have been a snow bird returning home?
  3. I am assuming it got bent hitting something? A solid bar maybe too strong, the next hit might break the plastic and cause a bigger problem?
  4. It doesn't look that badly bent and I might be a bit leery of heating a piece of thin wall aluminum pipe. If it is removable you might try finding a piece of oak dowel rod that will fit snugly inside the pipe and slide it in farther as you bend it straight? using a piece of iron pipe?
  5. https://www.toyotaofsantabarbara.com/rav4-recommended-maintenance-oil-change/ " Check condition of brake fluid " I see that at 15-30k miles, but I have never had it done or had a brake fluid issue, and this is the first time I have heard of it.
  6. Always thought this was the best month to be at PAB, but you did have to get lucky with the weather.
  7. ch, there is a Grand River here too, about 40 miles east of Cleveland, and that article was referring to the one here. Brian, labor day was the 3rd rainiest day on record here and the temps have been dropping pretty quickly since, some of our rivers are known for the fall steelhead runs. Not a lot of available trout fishing here, those are a big deal?
  8. Swim Whizzes? over sized flatfish? I grew up as the walleye fishing here on Erie was fading fast, but looking back at lures I saw the old blue pike and walleye guys had it their tackle boxes here? Flat fish and Benos were probably near the top of the list.

  11. A sun roof might help getting the water out? Not much of a fan of this year either.
  12. I-X Center to permanently close after 35 years due to coronavirus pandemic That is certainly not going to make things and easier for camps to book trips in this area.

  14. https://www.anglersatlas.com/place/121111/silent-lake I guess you can view a map - depth chart if you join?
  15. Those are like a texas rig worm weight, just no taper to them, I do think the tapered ones hang up more.
  16. Do you mean like these Brian? https://www.jannsnetcraft.com/fishing-sinkers/345490.aspx
  17. LOL, I hooked a 40+ pitching a jig and pig along the bridge bases, it came right out of the water and my partner was hollering you got a big ski! not for long dude 10#.
  18. I have fished it before, but not for 17 years or so, it did seem to have a healthy muskie population back then and some one in our bass club usually hooked on in every tournament trip there. North end of the lake is deeper overall than the south end, using the I-86 bridge as the center point, but ski's seem to be on both ends and the middle.
  19. https://naturalsports.ca/products/acme-little-cleo-casting-spoon?variant=23360987955258 http://hooklineandsinker.ca/acme-cleo/ No idea on what is local for you pump, i wonder how much of an affect this covid deal has had on lure mfgs? Some brands may disappear?
  20. https://www.acmetackle.com/products/little-cleo?variant=31342904148054 looks like they are still made in that color.
  21. nice fish, great pics! what the heck is a flicker bait?
  22. I may have caught more fish on those pre rapala wiggle warts than the rest of my crankbaits combined, they were killer lures for me.
  23. https://discounttackle.com/products/river2sea-s-waver-120 not exactly the same design, but the same future issue possible with finding a replacement tail? I have caught a lot of fish on lipless crankbaits just never saw a need for one with a soft tail, and even with the hard bait ones on any given day one by one mfg might work better than one by a different mfg. Jigs and worms!
  24. I used those to hold down tarps over my firewood.
