  1. They are talking about a gradual reopening here around May 1st, I would like to see those new case numbers drop significantly by then, or we could risk an even tougher next round? there will be even more resistance to another shutdown. 20,000+ new cases a day just doesn't sound like something under control?
  2. http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/nation/2020/04/119_287752.html?fbclid=IwAR016aJ4pk1MLwXpGXdqafVyL-EJsgegRYqJ8fKlPBDTwBgYGMgK-CAWG10 Evidently reinfection may be possible?
  3. I'm not sure how much blame I would put on the WHO? It takes a lot of cold hard evidence before you recommend something that may shut down a major portion of the world's economy? and if you're wrong? finding believers in what you say could be even harder the next time? Personally I believe or governor has done a good job trying to keep this under control, but there are people protesting in Columbus because he shut things down. It's a human tragedy and a fiscal nightmare for all countries dealing with this?
  4. " A sign in the factory said the goal was to make 1,237 cars that day. That is 17 percent higher than its usual target of 1,060 cars. " I have been in assembly plants here, i would have trouble believing that any of them were knocking out those kind of numbers.
  5. Basically jigs with a blade on the bottom like that are called underspins, there are a bunch of different brands and shapes. That particular one is a bottom dragger, at least that is the use without the blade, the blade just gives it a bit of flash and different sound = look = push as it moves thru the water. If I were to use one? It would be tipped with a minnow or half a nightcrawler and either a drift or slow troll, you could cast or jig them too, but that might run you thru bait a lot quicker.
  6. Like we aren't baffled by trying to keep track of domestic idiots? LOL
  7. " Dr. Acton previously said the state’s numbers, which now include probable cases per CDC guidelines, likely don’t reflect all of the cases in the state because testing is primarily used to screen individuals who are hospitalized or work in the health care field. An additional 127 cases and 15 deaths are presumed to be linked to COVID-19 under the CDC expanded definitions. " So the actual number here in Ohio alone could be a good deal higher.
  8. 26,000 + new cases yesterday and 1500 + deaths yesterday stateside, ya we can quarantine ourselves into being a third world nation, but how many are eager to pay the price of rushing back to normal?
  9. Well New York city is one of the financial and trading capitals of the world, New York stock exchange? People coming in from all over the world to do business or for travel, it makes sense it would be a hot spot? Probably the largest mass transit system in the USA?
  10. LOL, they aren't spreading anything? I'm on the flight path for Cleveland Hopkins, I used to be able to sit in my yard in the evening and see the landing lights on the planes lined up for miles on the western approach. " A plane like a Boeing 747 uses approximately 1 gallon of fuel (about 4 liters) every second. Over the course of a 10-hour flight, it might burn 36,000 gallons (150,000 liters). According to Boeing's Web site, the 747 burns approximately 5 gallons of fuel per mile (12 liters per kilometer). " " A "semi" truck gasoline tanker holds 9,000 gallons, give or take. The capacity is usually controlled by the 80,000 lb gross weight limit for trucks in the US. (I can't speak for other parts of the world.) A gallon of gasoline weighs about 7 lbs, and the truck weighs quite a bit itself, so you don't see liquid hydrocarbon tanks exceed 10,000 gallons. That would push it into DOT permit load territory which is substantially more paperwork and possibly a mandatory police escort. " Airports must have a pipeline to deliver fuel? I had the area around Hopkins for my peddle run years ago and never noticed an unusual amount of tanker traffic.
  11. Why take a yak out in a 45,000 + acre lake when you have a bass boat? Those guys are good, but I question that call, I wouldn't need to make a video that badly.
  12. I used to powder paint my jigheads and if I wanted to add glitter just mixed some in some 2 part rod epoxy.
  13. So that stuff is basically like a 2 part epoxy? Soft plastics don't affect it?
  14. 33,000 + new cases in the USA on the 10th and 2000 + deaths. USA is now leading the world in the number of cases, we have China and India beat by multiple times, countries that have our population beat by multiple times. Open it when the daily death toll keeps rising? 2000+ deaths, that is almost the number of people in my entire township. I can understand the financial aspects, but should people have to pay with their lives?
  15. They have made tournaments for them on BassMasters? Looking at the prices of boats these days it seems apparent to me they have priced a lot of people out of the market. I have been in canoes, not a fan, and 2k for a yak? Nope. Not sure what the deal is on these boats, but for 2 k I would be looking. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2462240367215541/ https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/270462740615022/
  16. After 2 wives and 3 daughters? I wonder just how much impact quarantine is having on the male suicide rate?
  17. It seems to be hitting a lot of nursing homes here too, I spent 3 weeks in one last summer and was not at all impressed by their care or maintenance standards. Our 30 year old buddy is in one now, they just took his trach and feeding tube out a few days ago. They have banned visitors at most if not all of them here, but even if you're just dropping things off at their front desk there might be a risk?
  18. https://www.oceangrafix.com/chart/zoom?chart=14860 Just from looking at the map finding fish shouldn't be too hard?
  19. Missed that myself Terry, they have also closed the Maumee River which is a short drive west of there.
  20. https://www.cleveland.com/coronavirus/2020/04/record-ohio-walleye-run-huge-crowds-lead-to-fishing-license-restrictions-sandusky-and-maumee-river-closings-during-pandemic.html?fbclid=IwAR1VLFBS-mNTeWJujgcBufMPT0TGxLmpVUj4dSnPKKBXB2JTqCrjhqh-6i8 Social distancing doesn't appear to be going well there?
