  1. Thorne Bros makes sweet customs, its in the US but they have super fast shipping. deadly laker rod
  2. nice report BBR
  3. nice buck Mike
  4. The Notty has closed areas as well as C & R only. you should really grab some regs.
  5. its more the circumstance then it is the fish type. How many other species besides trout and salmon do you see guys lined up along the river for? Its not just port its anyplace you fish with these types of crowds.Look at the docks in barrie, guys getting heated over some dinky perch. On a side note the locals at port have never been anything but nice to me, they even offer up a coffee if a extra is kicking around!
  6. Its definatly a soap opera, I wasnt all that surprised to see the one fella in the middle of it end up in the river, he seems to always be there swearing at someone. I guess you never know who you might piss off. How well do the boats do there? I had mine with me but never bothered even using it, I dont think I've seen a boat with a fish on. Kemper indeed they do
  7. Headed down this weekend to the brown zone to do some bouncing. Weather was poor to say the least. Windy, high water but we made the best of it and got some fishing in. The rain was a bit of a blessing as it knocked the crowds right down we even got a shot at "the drift". we ended up it 9 or so fish on sat and a few break offs. Today was cold and slow. not many rods moving. We managed a nice hen, watched a fist fight on the river bank that ended up with a guy in the river and packed it in.Camera wasnt working right in the rain so some of the pics didnt turn out but heres some from the weekend.Good mix of fish really enjoy. Ryan
  8. Thanks for the report, Im thinking of dragging the boat down this weekend. Hope things pick up!!
  9. Good work out there, great week to be on the water. I was out last sat from Port C, only out for a couple hours as it was very rough and cold. water temps are way down. Managed a nice scrappy bow in 75fow and that was it. weather is looking rough from here on out maybe its finaly over????
  10. Probably not salmon, unless fishing the C&R area then the odd one might still be rotting away
  11. Awesome work, hope to be down this weekend leave a few
  12. who needs a float reel, if you spent less time on those damn bass you'd have the trout down to an art with a spinning reel!! better yet get a set up with a nice light baitcast reel, the free spool is just as easy to control with your thumb. Steve you coming down to the Niagara this fall??? Get your NYS liscense and lets get out!!!
  13. Im pretty sure Big Jon sells the mast system your looking for.
  14. decent length in leads works well in the clear water up here. As far as the boards go, guys just dont seem to bother with them. They should work great. Flatlining seems to be most productive.
  15. If you like low vis, try Yozuri hybrid if you can find it. Just awesome line. I know Angler outfitters in woodstock has piles of it.
  16. Congrats my friend, happy to see you got into one!!! Take off the fish ID on your finder, I know its nice to see the symbols but it lowers the accuracy of your finder. using the fish ID, your finder transfers marks into fish symbols. It does the best it can but many times it picks up air bubbles, debris and makes them into fish. once you figure out your finder it becomes more of a asset with the id off.
  17. good stuff man!!, Nice hat too
  18. I use a 6lbs thor ultra, for lakers and whities on a thorne bros rod with a 2500 stradic. Ive used all sorts of line and this has produced the best results for me by far. light enough to let a small williams fall to the bottom in 120fow, and strong enough to handle a big laker.
  19. No fish in Gbay
  20. The Crazy B*tch fly you can get at www.fishing-lures.ca, The Crazy B*tch Flasher is brand new and still not out yet, its going to be hot next year!!
  21. Headed out today and started in 130fow, fished the riggers down 55ft with the new crazy B*tch spinny and a CB fly, and the white and blue spinny and skiens machine. The CB was the first to fire, a little king about 8#. picked up another king and a bow around 7-8#. on spoons on the stackers around 25-35ft. nk28 wahoo and green frog. Things started to slow so we headed out to 250fow. Found some better temps and started to mark some good fish. picked up a scrappy coho about 8# on the CB set up. Then we got into a double of big bows, on the CB and the Skiens Machine. I was fighting mine when the rod beside me went I grabbed it too and past one off to my buddy. I landed mine a nice 15# hen still healing up from the spawn. The other fish was much bigger could have went almost 20# broke the 50# flouro leader at the boat. I lost my last CB fly. so I switch to a PRO AM fly and CB spinny and it fired for another king. We ended up 6 or 7 for 10. with a good mix of fish. Slow ride back with that thick fog, thank god for electronics The new Crazy B*tch spinny looks like its going to be a great combo!!
  22. is that where they are all hiding in 20ft?? very cool, good stuff on the release
  23. Thanks guys, still lots of good fishing to be had out on the bigwater. \ Thanks Paul, cant wait to get down to your neck of the woods for some steel!!!
  24. Headed out of Port Credit to 400+fow east of the ODAS marker. Got the rods set up at about 1030am and started trolling and trolling and trolling. Worked around for about 3 hours without moving a rod. Finally found some active fish and started circling. Within 2 hours we went 9/11 6 chinnys and the rest bows. Went back out this morning and went straight back to where we left off. fished the same very small area and went 10/13, 2 chinnys and the rest bows. Picked up a real nice bow that was just over 35" and I'd say around 13lbs. All fish came off the riggers down 90ft and 70ft over 420fow. Blue dolphin spindoctor with a gold/pearl A-TOM MIK was the hot stick, few fish off the white and blue spinny with the skiens machine fly. It was a great weekend on the water, wind was chilly but at least the rain held off.
  25. agreed, some good trout water near by. get a map and track some of the tribs back you be surprised what you find.
