  1. It's interesting to note that many doctors themselves aren't willing to take the shot themselves. Also, insurance companies are refusing to insure doctors that provide the shot in the United States. It would be interesting to compare how people on this board who do take the shot VS those who do not end up. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12...ting-fears.html
  2. I don't like injecting something into my body which has been rushed and untested. I don't really trust Big Pharma who are making a killing off of this. Profits are the big driver for them, it is better for them to have people sick than the whole population healthy. I'll take solid exercise, a healthy diet, and stress avoidance as the best immunization against getting sick. Common sense really, but not for some... And it's not a little pin prick I'm afraid of, it's whats being injected into my body. If you read a list of what's in that flu shot you may have second thoughts, but that would probably burst your bubble.
  3. Good stuff, I've considered having a fishing blog before and may do one in the future. I have my own marketing blog which was fun to put up and maintain. Out of curiosity what blog system are you using (Joomla, Drupal, Wordpress?), I like your site's layout. One recommendation I would have is your header "W3 Fishing Report" is hard to see, maybe darken the colors or use a different font to make it more apparent. It should be the thing that stands out first, right now its the menu right below it. Looking forward to see your reports on there.
  4. Nice results! What happened to the second walleye in the picture, someone get hungry on the boat?
  5. HOLY $#%#$%$%$@$@%$@! I don't know if I could have picked that beast up safely, nice fish!
  6. Hey you guys didn't do too bad at all, nice quality bass and walleye.
  7. Interesting, maybe it has to do with the fact that they are the moving parts of the lure?
  8. Sorry, I meant Terry's reply. For some reason I thought it must be GCD haha.
  9. Nice theories, I have one as well. The hook shines and is more reflective than the body of the bait, which imitates the silver glitter shine of a minnow. This is what they are familiar with (silver shine) and is the reason the will hit it first. I like GCD's theory more though.
  10. That was pretty awesome and funny, I'm impressed with the kid's driving skills!
  11. The pink and white jig/tube combination is the #1 crappie / panfish tube I've ever used, it will also catch other larger species if they are finnicky.
  12. Holy crapola, that's damned impressive, even catching one of those fish would have made a good day in my books. Then again I don't have your setup nor fish that area. Nice job!
  13. I don't think this is a matter of wreckless boating, but wrecklessness in general. It wasn't reckless because he was going fast, but more for being a total yikes with nothing to fear. That false thought of invincibility will get him soon enough.
  14. I think you can tell who the really 'great' guys are on here by reading their posts and history... a feedback section seems redundant when you can just look at a person's profile.
  15. The owner at Long Beach would probably let you launch, I believe he may even be an OFC member. Rented a boat from him last weekend, a very nice and helpful person, I will be getting a boat from him again in less than 9 hours!!! Come on Walleye, big money big money big money!
  16. It's funny, 90% of the time it either rains, or is fore-casted to rain and doesn't. I've been through so many hours in the rain that I really don't mind it anymore, I in fact prefer it to a sunny day while fishing. I also don't use umbrellas anymore, the rain falling on me reminds me of fishing
  17. Garry that's great to hear, the fishing on Stoney and I presume most lakes has been 'off' this year because of the colder temperatures (where's the global warming?) I've been to Stoney about 5 times so far this year and the size of bass is way down below my outings the past several years. Hitting up Sturgeon Lake for the second time this Saturday, and should be on Stoney the next so I'm looking forward to hopefully some better fishing. Which part of Stoney Lake do you launch from? I usually start off at McCracken's Landing, and enjoy fishing the Burleigh Falls, Hell's Gate, and south of Big Island in Clear Lake. Nice report, thx.
  18. That's hysterical, yes it must be a slow news day, ever notice how most news headlines today are about something extremely trivial? It's shameful, but at least somewhat entertaining.
  19. Not a bad bass from that spot! Even a couple of decent fish shore fishing makes it a worthy day, especially with family around
  20. Wow seems like the Big-O is really popular, I'm gonna have to pick one of those up next time I'm at a fishing shop and give it a whirl.
  21. Not bad for 3 hours, I'll take smallies over largies any day.
  22. Nice report, solid bass... is it just me or are the bass smaller this year? Seems like the colder weather is throwing them off... I was on Stoney on Sunday and couldn't get a bass over 3 pnds. I wasn't fishing deeper than 10 feet, but then again I rarely do.
  23. Lhouse soccer's post about Rapala today was definitely interesting, and got me thinking... maybe Rapala isn't the only crankbait company I should buy from! I mean, undoubtedly, they've built up an extremely strong brand that is now synonymous with crankbaits for most people (including myself). That being said, they are still quite pricey, and people are saying their craftsmanship has declined since they've switched their manufacturing operations. That being said, if I wanted to buy a non-Rapala crankbait, which company would you recommend? And I'm not talking about a specific kind of crank. Which alternative brands are a solid choice, based on performance, durability, and price? I bought a bunch of Rapalas this year and don't plan on buying more cranks for quite some time, but when that time does come, I wouldn't mind testing out something different.
  24. I don't mind the show at all, I like the guy, someone who seems very generous and kind, like the fishermen I encounter while fishing. What's wrong with that? I don't see how you can dislike the show so much as to put a post up on it... I also wanted to say to an early comment that I don't think many novices are going to be catching many Muskie in the first place, it's not like he's a major influence on how many muskies are going to end up as table fare, he's being honest at least.
  25. Looking for another crankbait company even remotely close to the workmanship and reliability of Rapala?? Good luck, tell us when you've found one!
