  1. A no brainer for me. I have a young family and use our membership for diapers, wipes, clothing, cereal, bananas, drinking boxes etc.. Also everyday things like Milk, bread, hummus, fruit, coffee is amazing deal, etc.. The meat can not be beat IMO. I buy the top sirlion AAA and half each steak, except for mine of course, and get a few meals out of it for around 17 bucks. Also buy the whole pork lion, slice it up and get 5 or 6 meals for 15 bucks. And the ground beef for $13 we get 4 meals out of. And always grab a roasted chicken for 6.50. Recently we got our 2 yr old a twin Sealy mattress for $200. We have returned a few things with zero issues. One time the ground beef turned quickly and they replaced it with two. Worth checking out for sure.
  2. Firstly, myself and Maureen would like to thank all the OFC'ers for their support of Off the Dock Toons at the show this past weekend. We truly apprecite all who purchased shirts and prints, and those who offerd their support through kind and motivating words. There was a situation on Sat where someone from this community stepped up for us. I was to be at the show Sat afternoon after my daughters B-day party, but arrived home to discover my fence had been blown down in the high winds. I had to stay and fix it. This is a special Thank you to Albert. Maureen told me how you stepped up and helped her as we got really busy. I owe you a pop (atleast) for your help. Thank you again to all!
  3. Ironic, but someone very close to me defended their property and family last night. Anyone who lives in South Pickering saw the "presence" in the area.
  4. I saw it once. Kind of lost the "realism" when you have a camera crew filming you hiding. I dunno, seemed to fake for me. Like the concept though.
  5. Make sure you hunt the booth down Lew. Be nice to see ya again.
  6. Sorry to rehash an old thread. I was recently informed it was the venom from the ants that caused my reaction. However, they mentioned I must of had more bites then I originally thought. Just a heads up, if you get bit by these ants, MOVE.
  7. Smalliefisher has some wicked deals in the classified section for some high end stuff. Who knows, he may consider the BPS card as cash moola. Have an eye.
  8. That's because I am kind of scared. I may not show up til my body guard Roy is there. I should be ok though, Maureen will be with me and she has a hatred for guys in AMP jackets(unless they buy a shirt or signed print). Consider yourself warned Brian.
  9. Wow, he's almost as good of a salesman as his Dad.
  10. The man was a pioneer, he invented beer googles too.
  11. Stay Tooned... 100% fishing (sure we want to learn new things, but we also want to be multi-species entertained). If you want details on the how, where and with what... you can go to the website if you choose. All in the works. But, I vote for the Linders for best ever.. simply because they are multi-species and do most of it on their own.
  12. hahaha, perfect. I work around the corner and would do this in a heartbeat. "Are you DanC? The speckle man from T-bay? Please can I have an autograph? Thank you so much Dan, this has been amazing. Oh, and Hi Dion, sorry to interupt." Let me know.
  13. Myself and Lake Ranger(Maureen) will be there for the whole show. Swing by the Off the Dock booth and say hi!
  14. Yes, enuff already. I miss having sun til late in the evening.
  15. I second this. We used the Big Jon's. Unless you work in a welding shop.
  16. I did the same thing as a teenager. The guitar and fishing were my escapes. To this day I still sneak down stairs on my own and strum away when feeling over loaded. Good on your Gerrit for stepping up. I do however wish I had taken lessons back then as I too learnt on my own and by ear.
  17. That is interesting Garnet. Would you find they are located in certain parts of the lake moreso then others? i.e. Hasting way Appears they are a game changer on Simcoe as well. Live bait???? lol... only on the ice. I have never seen that Terry. Would love to though. I am assuming this is in the main basin? Also on Lake Simoce: In the spring the large majority of "true" jumbos we get are feeding on small craws in the deeper water.
  18. Have an eye here http://wx.toronto.ca/inter/hr/jobs.nsf/current+opportunities There are a couple IT jobs, however, there are also project management positions posted often.
  19. With winternet in full bloom, I thought this may be an interesting topic for folks to share their opinions on what one believes is the favourite prey for their target fish on specific lakes. I know I could find this info helpful to pattern baits when fishing new waters or areas I do not get to much. I'll start it off. Rice Lake Largemouth - Crayfish and Bluegill/Sunfish Smallmouth - Crayfish and Perch Walleye - Crayfish and Perch (Fall frogs) Lake Scugog Largemouth - Crayfish and Frogs Smallmouth - Crayfish and Perch Walleye - Perch Lake Ontario Pike - rainbow patterns. I have more the share later. Personally, I am very curious about Georgian bay(Midland and honey harbour areas) and the Muskoka lakes. Thanks.
  20. Never targeted them on the ice, but snagged a few guitar picks back when we fished Chicken bay on Simcoe. If anyone will dail them in, it would be Jimmy Dodd.
  21. Oh Brian, Stifle would ya, LOL... (btw, be at the spring show, boxing gloves in hand ) I think it's flipped. The Mods have made this board, they are quick with a joke or to lite up your smoke, but don't think about pulling the wool over their eyes.
