  1. Adam I bought a new winch from BPS last year and it came with a seatbelt type od material which was what I had on the old one. It works great with my 2000# boat.
  2. Mike, I deal with a guy from the Beaverton area and just had my 3rd cedar hedge hedge planted by Vince. On his price list he sells 3' to 4' cedars for $6 delivered and $7 planted. I live in Newmarket so he might charge more for your area, but given the number you need, it might be worth a call. His name is Vince and is number is 705-426-1867. Tell him that you spoke to Warren because he was just at my house today planting a 9' hedge.
  3. Guys, I wasn't saying to dump it on someone else, I said to fix it up as best as he can and get rid of it. The cracks shown in the splashwell were minor. The big and visible issue with the boat was the bow in the transom itself. That is visible to any buyer. The advice was to not bother with the repair himself.
  4. Wendel, It is a great time of year to sell a boat. I would fix it up the best that you can, putty up the cracks and paint the entire area. You should also replace the prop and lower unit casing for appearance sake. I would not hang onto that boat, it is an accident waiting for a place to happen. A few comments: The boat is 9 years old so you should not expect a manufacturer to honour any type if warranty. Put yourself in their shoes, how do they know what the boat has been subject to and exposed to? Based on the photo showing the skeg, I would say that you hit something at a good clip. This may have caused the cracks. If the boat sat all winter and hot and cold, the expansion and contraction would cause the cracks expand. These cracks are minor because the area is just the splashwell for the transom. If the transom has a significant bow to it the wood under the aluminum is probably rotting and needs to be replaced. This is a huge undertaking that requires professional knowledge. I would not attempt to do this on your own.
  5. I had a similar problem a few years ago and got hosed by a Vet in Newmarket who wanted to operate on my dog. I called the breeder and told her what was happening. She got me into the Vet where her dogs and pups all go, Allandale in Barrie. They did a quick Xray could see no blockage an did a barium swallow. The result was that my dod had Ferinjitis (a soar thoat). I was given a liquid medicine for her and walked out with a bill under $300. Since then we take our dog there for yearly checkups which cost no more than $200 with heart-worm pills and any vaccinations. I highly recommend these folks!
  6. if you are in the GTA I highly recommend taking it to Topgun Marine at Hwy 89 and Hwy 11. Paul the owner is a great guy and won't rip you off. The price you were given seems awefully high to me.
  7. Ho can anyone dispute this? Look at the photo:
  8. I wish this post would go away now. It is 17 pages long now and be around for months. Another example of the fishing bored in the winter. Next thing you know people will start writing country and western lyrics here!

  10. Good luck, I think you will do weld! I hope nobody flames this post.
  11. Milton is a new incinerator and the 407 domes are oil storage away from the refinery in Oakville.
  12. Fish_Fishburn, I have 3 year old Michelin Primacy tires and paid almost $200 a piece installed and would not recommend them. They do not track well in rain and snow in particular even though I was told that they were good. I have always been happy with Michelin, but not this time. I drive a Mazda 6 dedan. Fish_Fishburn was simply asking for opinions on which all season tire was the best and went into detail on why he does not want winter tires. I don't understand why so may people replied with their opinion on why he has to buy winter tires? There seems to be many people on this board these days that take over threads with their own opinions that completely side-track the posts. The guy asked a simple question and does not need a lecture as I've seen in many other posts. It really brings down the quality of the board in my opinion.
  13. CF when you are ready to buy a Stihl the Chainsaw clinic a Weston Rd and the 401 is a great place to go.

I forgot what dial-up was like!
  15. Moemoe Cograts to a great fish and let go alive! Enough said to that. When I see some of the replies it reminds me of why I don't post very much here. Some people just have too much to say on this board all of the time. I'm sure that this will be locked down soon enough.
  16. My avatar is from one caught there in the summer. My buddy and I caught numerous fish one day out of 4 and never caught any again since that time. We go back to the same spots and use the same lures at the same time of the summer. The smallest was 4 pounds and the largest was 9 pounds. Most of our luck has always been smallies and pike.
  17. Gerritt spend $100 on CAA+ and you will have no more towing bills!
  18. Skinny, I was about to post mine for sale. I have a 55# 60" Minnkota on my 17' Legend and find that it is really good even on a windy day. I am selling it because I hardly use it and my kids hate it on the bow when they sit up there. I put in on my boat in 2002 and used it two or three times per year only. It is in mint condition and comes with an older Humminbird finder from the early 90's and a 4 year old Bass Pro 800 cranking amp deep cycle battery. I can send pictures if you are interested.
  19. Lysol toilet bowl cleaner in a bucket with an small bristle broom gives amazing results! A very light scrub and them a good rinse with the hose and the slime comes right off of the hull.
  20. Your last name is Way Randy? LOL
  21. Sorry for your loss Jer. I hope to never have to do the same but know that one day it will happen with my dog as well.
  22. I tried to open a Badger petting zoo but got no customers!
  23. Wayne, you are the inspector gadget of this board!
  24. I bet that Bruce Cockburn knows! Rain forest Mist and mystery Teeming green Green brain facing labotomy Climate control centre for the world Ancient cord of coexistence Hacked by parasitic greedhead scam - From Sarawak to Amazonas Costa Rica to mangy B.C. hills - Cortege rhythm of falling timber. What kind of currency grows in these new deserts, These brand new flood plains? If a tree falls in the forest does anybody hear? If a tree falls in the forest does anybody hear? Anybody hear the forest fall? Cut and move on Cut and move on Take out trees Take out wildlife at a rate of species every single day Take out people who've lived with this for 100,000 years - Inject a billion burgers worth of beef - Grain eaters - methane dispensers. Through thinning ozone, Waves fall on wrinkled earth - Gravity, light, ancient refuse of stars, Speak of a drowning - But this, this is something other. Busy monster eats dark holes in the spirit world Where wild things have to go To disappear Forever If a tree falls in the forest does anybody hear? If a tree falls in the forest does anybody hear? Anybody hear the forest fall?
