Excellent report. It was a beauty day to be out there, but I agree on the bimini top for those conditions. I've baked out there myself a few times. Nice fish, too bad they all didn't want to cooperate. Next time

Caught these two beating the crap out of each other in my front yard today. The fight went on for 10 minutes or so, with times when they did not move due to exhaustion. I kept snapping and alot are not in focus due to their movement, but it was very interesting and the first real grackle smackdown I've ever seen. I finally moved close enough so that they'd break it up and they both flew away.

Jeez Brian, that's not a fun way to spend your time. I had an experience with the border once similar to yours. It was not fun and wasted a whole bunch of everybody's time. That was many, many years ago so had nothing to do with today's amped up security. Sometimes the officer just wants to be a jerk (they can be one on both sides so no offence to our beautiful neighbours).
