  1. That pier in pic #1 looks awfully similar to the latest John B episode, fast forward to 2:36 mark:
  2. Hoping a board member would be willing to lend an ear and provide some senior executive career advice? Please PM if so.
  3. Cut / Pasted directly from the link provided above from Drifter_016 Salt-water fishing: You do not need a licence to fish in tidal or salt water in Nova Scotia. However, you must respect Canadian federal fishing seasons and bag limits. See Additional Information, below.
  4. I'll be in NS in a few weeks to visit family. The cottage sits on a unique piece of property where the ocean is 200 yards from the back door and a fresh water lake is 200 yards from the front door. I know no license is required for ocean fishing (doubtful to catch anything anyways) but how do I go about obtaining a week pass for the fresh water?
  5. And done without the big $$ we spend on fancy high tech tackle / gear these days.
  6. I was looking to take the son out for a camp night on a piece of crown vs. In cottage. Some good general use spots ex: islands have cottages.
  7. Started to use the atlas to simply look around and discovered 'general use' areas on my home lake near Minden. Curious what the situation is when the atlas clearly shows a plot of land as 'general use' but it has an established cottage with dock etc.. Is the Atlas simply wrong?
  8. PROOF of anything these days is ridiculous. With today's technology any CO, OPP, Officer etc can "look up" any info they need. Because I may have forgotten a little piece of paper or card at home, in the truck etc..is just crazy IMO. PROOF is simply for revenue.
  9. I narrowed my search down to the Humminbird Helix 5 DI/GPS until I noticed sail has a Garmin unit (Echomap 55DV) on for the same price. I have made the decision that side imaging is not for me so lets leave that out Anyone running a Garmin unit or could provide any feedback on this decision?
  10. How did he haul that into his 14 or 16' aluminum....
  11. 2009 Legend ProSport 16sc with a 1994 Force 40hp 2 stroke. Just me and usual fishing gear, 30mph. With 2 or 3 fellas 25mph.
  12. I know who you should not contact http://ontariofishingcommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=80067
  13. Awesome, and can relate as I watch some folks at the trailer park who constantly come in hot.
  14. Congrats on the PB! I have yet to boat a 5+lb'er.....but I'll get'r eventually.
  15. Just spend a week on Balsam, north end of the lake. Caught several worth mentioning pike on spinner baits and many LM bass on senko's. Also most action was between 6:30-9pm. Good Luck. My 7 year son caught his PB Bass at 4.2lbs on his ultra light shimano rod and 4lb test line....was awesome to watch him fight this guy back to the boat
  16. any suggestions where my brother can leave his car for 4 days? It's time for our annual Montreal River/lady Evelyn walleye trip. He is coming in from Ottawa and I from Durham. Safe in the Walmart parking lot?
  17. Exactly what I did 2 years ago. Put down laminate floor and even in the middle of winter the floor never felt cold on bare feet.
  18. I read that on previous threads so I made sure it does not touch aluminum at any point. In fact you may have noticed I used deck spindles that have a 45 at each end to fit
  19. My 16' Legend ProSport lacked storage minus the main bow hatch which is mostly taken up with trolling battery. Frame was built with pressure treated 2x2 and ply was water sealed and matching vinyl was glued using water adhesive. Both hatches will have flush hatch locks once I get them installed. And for those familiar with the 2006-2010 ProSports the stern has two bench seats so I have also connected these together which creates a rear casting deck for fishing partner.
  20. Did some late winter / early spring mods to my 2009 16' prosport and now I'm in need for a small amount of matching flooring. Given the small amount I need (15' sq.ft) I'm hoping not to drive multiple hours, any suggestions?
  21. I recently picked up a v6 Mitsubishi Outlander. Towing cap is 3500# + you can lock in 4x4 vs. AWD. No complaints so far.
  22. Our small garden is mostly a hobby & that we hope it is teaching our kids hard work pays off. We are fans of picking lettuce each night for dinner and our annual batch of tomato salsa is thoroughly enjoyed.
  23. I have this in my fridge at home. First time I used it I spread it on like mayo.......= bad idea! This stuff is extremely gnarly. Once I got the ratio down it is amazing on sandwiches. My wife also uses it as a rub before the prime rib goes into the oven
