  1. Quick update: Found a few parks willing to take in our trailer. Ended up signing with Buckslide on Kushog Lake.
  2. Squat on doesn't sound appealing with two young ones who would prefer the company of other wee ones to play with. Actually it doesn't sound appealing at all
  3. I know the age will narrow my search, hence the help from fellow board members.
  4. Unfortunately my inlaws have found themselves in a rough patch and need to sell their farm. To eliminate any potential issues they need to remove their older (1980 something) but in great shape trailer off the property. I thought to help them out I'd take it off there hands if I could find a park that will accept an older model trailer. Anyone know or recommend a park? I'd prefer for maximum value to not travel any further then 2 hours from Whitby.
  5. I have fished the Montreal river many times but have never venture up to Evelyn. Until this year Our lodge is 5min from the fine gentlemen who I hear shuttles your boat up to the top for a minimal fee. Has anyone had much success fishing the strip of water leading into the main lake? I will be there first week of June targeting wally's and giant pike.
  6. You are correct. After all of the 'other' fees (controls, cables, prop, etc) and install the price tag jumps beyond my budget. I have decided to save for another year and start my search again for a fuel injected 4 stroke next year.
  7. If it goes before I pull the trigger then it wasn't meant to be, I'll still sleep at night.
  8. Current is a 1994 Force by Mercury. Runs good and pushes my 16' legend to 30mph but I'm looking for a quieter, less exhaust and fuel efficient 4 stroke. Not brand loyal simply looking for any motor that meets my needs within my price budget.
  9. I asked the same question on the hours. Was told its a carburated model and therefore hours are unknown.
  10. Looking to replace my current outboard and came across this, http://www.mobilemarine.com/products/994 . Any one care to share thoughts or concerns? I'm in search of a 4 stroke 40 or 30 hp to replace my 1994 2 stroke.
  11. Looking for board members suggestion on a trustworthy mechanic to bring my outboard for service. Preferably looking to travel < 1hr from Whitby. Was having shifting issues on my last outing last year and want to get it resolved before the spring busy season starts.
  12. Sorry, its remote side console. Gut feeling has nothing to do with the lower unit work as it has performed great all season up until now. Possible the fast idle was not all the way down...i'll double check that and hope that is all it was . Performance regardless is fine. Speed, planning etc..all normal so I am leaning towards a hopeful adjustment that some how changed while out last weekend.
  13. All was well running outboard on my last trip out (all season actually, had new lower end installed) but when I got back to the ramp it acted up on me. When I shift the throttle into forward I hear the rpms increase but it didn't engage into gear....give it a tad more or less throttle and BANG into gear it went. If I had a passenger standing they would go for a tumble + it can't be good for it to jump into gear at higher rpm's. 1994 40hp (get ready for it) Force by Mercury. Lets save the Force bashing for another thread Any tips would be appreciated.
  14. I'll be visiting family just off #127 (MacKenzie Rd) next week and contemplating on bring the boat to get a few hours in on the Saturday morning. Suggested lake to launch a 16'er preferably to fish smb / lmb but other species are welcome?
  15. Tough morning with not a single nibble between 6:45 and noon. Finally found some rock structure and landed 7 LMB and SMB in the 2-3lb range. Persistence paid off once again Good company, conversation and finally fish. Need to reduce file size on a few more pics.
  16. Launching my 16' Legend SC and prefer to target SMB and LMB with the odd accidental Pike. Wishful thinking the water will not be over busy mid / late September.
  17. Trying to accommodate a friend and have semi agreed to meet and fish the Wildwood reservoir in St.Marys. Not exactly my first choice but if any members can provide any feedback or alternate suggestions within a hour drive of London I would appreciate it.
  18. Closed bow boats would find these handy. I wouldn't fork out that much coin but if I was given one I wouldn't say no.
  19. "Your to f' ing nice" ...great pics fella.
