  1. Oh ya that's beauty, perfect. Thanks btw
  2. Would like to know where I am in relation to camp.
  3. Can you zoom in enough to see the Montreal river as it connects up to lady Evelyn ?
  4. I have a Garmin dakota unit loaded with city streets map. This map does not show the river system (Montreal River) I fish every June . Does anyone have either of the two mentioned maps loaded on a Garmin device.
  5. Looking for a cottage rental to accommodate 3 families (6 adults, 7 kids). Either a single large cabin with bunkie or multi cottage preferred. Distance: within 4 hour drive from durham. Any suggestions?
  6. Yup it's my pretend boat, but we love her.
  7. only downfall would be the lack of Radio I reckon, I do enjoy having the Jays game on while tossing a lure in the water.
  8. My boat is a classic 13' Boston whaler and therefore it sees its fair share of water splash in the boat so a waterproof unit is needed.
  9. With the plethora of wireless speakers available today I am considering shelving my off season project of installing a marine cd/mp3 player and simply semi-permanently keeping a wireless speaker in yee old boat. Any board members considered or have done the same. I like the following unit: http://www.braven.com/braven-brv-1-waterproof-bluetooth-speaker.html paired with a bluetooth IPod / BB etc.. Love to hear your feedback.
  10. I bought the 175PT last year and used it all summer 2013. No complaints yet.
  11. New to me boat has a spare wire coming from the control box. Please help me identify it. I'm hoping its for a tach gauge.
  12. Thx bigbuck ! Advice greatly appreciated.
  13. I do only have one combo, so this is what I need to change. Perhaps a similar or slightly more of an upgraded 2nd combo is the ticket.
  14. Leader must be the answer. Controlling drag was one lesson I learnt as a young fella.
  15. How about a gear upgrade and or line / leader setup?
  16. Hey all. I'm not a frequent poster but here goes. Been going on an annual fellas walleye fishing event for 8 years now. 2 cabins 8 guys, 4 days and each and every year my passion for fishing grows. Still very much a rookie with lots to learn on technique and gear. Soooo, in attempt to be the 2014 annual weekend winner I'm looking to upgrade my gear and would like to leverage all of your opinion. Although the goal is Wally's I land more pike then any other species, last year I hooked two alligators that I fought to the boat but couldn't net before they snapped my line. We typically troll worm harnesses but I'm here asking for other possible techniques? Location is always either Temagami or just inside the Quebec border, first or second weekend in June. My current setup is very basic with a 6.6 cherrywood and shimano Sierra 2500. Rest of the season I take my new to me 13' whaler to scugog with my 6 year old son. I realize these are vague and loaded questions so do your best or ask me return questions.
  17. Indeed they do...a client of mine. Largerst retail reit in Canada.
  18. just got back from a weeks vaca on Eagle Lake & caught 100% bass + 1 pike, mainly used electric to go in/out of docks with spinners in morning / aft and switched to top water after 8pm. Our cottage was near the northern tip therefore I primarily stuck to the north side of the bridge where the marina is. Now my bad news.....I will start a new thread later tonight after I am able to upload a few pictures. Doing aprox 15-20mpg I hit a rock (not marked) and snapped my skeg completely off I was hoping folks from this forum will be able to provide feedback or suggest a marine shop willing to weld a new one.
  19. I am by no means an experienced fisherman as I am new to the sport / game. However I can relate, my golf game is much more polished then my fishing skills so I can say it really bothers me when folks claim to hit 300y bombs or shoot in the 80’s yet they have no clue what their handicap is or how to calculate it…..Sigh. Hey did I show you guys my 50” pike I caught last month…………
  20. Great new prop is on order, lol. Guess ill keep the old one around as a spare.
