  1. Could be this site maybe as all the other sites are OK, but then I know diddly about this sorta thing
  2. Thanks Norm, turns out it was my Adblock causing the problems like others have mentioned. I used my wife's tablet this morning and was able to log onto OFC and read this post. Interesting as I installed Adblock a month ago and it's been working great until yesterday when I couldn't open the posts here, yet everything works fine on all the other sites I visit. Disabled Adblock for this page and we're good to go.
  3. And THAT'S the exact reason for the heavy braid
  4. There's some nice musky baits for sale in the classifieds http://ontariofishingcommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=78183 And go with 80-100 lb. Power Pro, it won't hurt your guides.
  5. All the best to you Norm, hope you have a great day !!
  6. Nope, York University's 100 miles west of that little grass igloo.
  7. Yup, he certainly seemed to like the cows
  8. I posted this picture here 2 years ago Gerritt, it's an elk I spotted in a field on hwy 28 just north of # 7 Their beautiful animals and it's good to hear their spreading out.
  9. I hear ya Cliff, but IMHO it's up to whoever owns a dock to be absolutely 100% sure it's secured so it doesn't break free or else get it up on the beach. I know a person who's dock broke loose when the ice went out and he couldn't have cared less, he just built a new one. A month later I found his dock 1/2 way down the lake in a back bay. I told him where his dock was and he said as long as HE didn't smash into it, it made no difference to him if anybody else hit it or not.
  10. Maybe I'm wrong, but I've always thought docks should somehow be licensed so in a case just like this the owner could be held responsible for not properly securing it or removing it from the water before freeze. That huge dock is gonna be floating around GBay for awhile unless someone drags it to shore, or some poor schmuk is gonna be running down the lake in a month or 2 and hammer that thing and maybe kill himself.
  11. Pretty sure I don't have any of that stuff Bruce LOL
  12. I'll stick with a traditional shower in a warm bathroom, even in January, thanks you very much LOL
  13. Thanks for the link msp that was great. I watched a fox run across my front lawn awhile back and grab & kill a squirrel before the little guy even knew what was happening. Maybe it's time to recruit him LOL
  14. Forgot this one, I bought a new truck 2 years ago and was driving down the same road where I got stopped last week and came to another spot check. The cop walked up to the truck and stuck his nose in the window the way they always do to see if there's any smell of booze, took a big sniff and said "Man, I love the smell of new leather in a truck". He stepped back and just like the copper last week, and said "have a great day Sir" I spose it must be my friendly smile, cause none of the coppers ever want to check me
  15. We used to get together quite a bit years ago but it just seemed to fade away. Hope you get it off the ground and have a great time.
  16. That's lousy Shane and you'd think Kia would take enough interest to find out what caused the problem.
  17. All the best my friend and have a great day !!
  18. Curious as to what excuse they had for not covering a blown engine after only 40K
  19. I've seen that show a couple times now, always enjoyed PP&M I saw a similar show about John Denver a couple weeks back and evidently he was friends with PP&M and used to do some shows with them. Lotsa good music from that era.
  20. You have to give them credit for how they survive the brutal winters around here but I spose they've had a few million years...or whatever...to figure out what to do.
  21. I've been doing a bit of reading this morning and it seems as if both mice & voles will burrow under the snow and build a nest to live in. Still plenty of snow around here, infact we got another inch over night and it's still snowing now, but I'm gonna pay close attention to the ground when it melts. Never had an issue before and hopefully it's not starting now.
  22. I was cleaning up in the yard yesterday after some of the snow melted and and came across this. It's 6" wide at the base, 5" high and perfectly round and a week ago would have been under 2' of snow. I can only guess some little critter has tunneled under the snow and used the grass he found there to build himself a winter home, maybe a mouse or vole ?? Anyone know for sure ??
  23. Fantastic Chris and congrats to the whole family. My baby turned 43 last month LOL
  24. Yeah, their doing a great job out there and a laugh is always a good thing.
  25. Wife & I were driving down a back country road this afternoon and came around a bend to see an OPP spot check with 3 cars and 3 cops checking vehicles. I pulled in line and as the last car left I moved up and waited to be checked. One of the cops waved me on & said I could go. I said "don't you want to check me ??" "Nope" he said, "your good to go sir" "Well, now I feel neglected" I told him. He walked over and said "OK then, I'll check you, we're looking for impaired drivers and folks not wearing seatbelts" "well" I said, "I don't drink and I'm wearing my seatbelt" He said, "Very good sir, you passed the test, have a great day" and started to laugh as he walked away" I said, "thank you sir and you have a great day too" and I laughed as I drove away. Always good to have a laugh once in awhile
