I've got several feeders around the house but that one is on the back deck about 15' from patio door and is where they normally feed. If I try to open the door it spooks them so I can only take pictures thru the glass.

The only fishing show I ever watch is Saric, but haven't seen it on the tube in months and thought maybe it had been cancelled so I'll have to start looking for it again.

Powers good over here Cliff but if needed, Mr. Generac has my back.

Neighbors of mine are in their 80's and have spent the entire winter in Florida every year for the last 47 years. This year their out of country health insurance was gonna cost them $8000 for 6 months so they had to stay home. Their sure not enjoying their 1st Canadian winter since 1967 LOL

I'm not sure but I think the issue is the fact that the CO2 cartridges are compressed gas rather than flammable.

I ordered my inflatable from LeBaron a couple years ago and the service was excellent. It came from Montreal to my house in a couple days and I don't recall the shipping rate but I don't think it was excessive.

Before ordering baits I'd check with the locals and see what colors work where your gonna be fishing. Musky baits can be crazy expensive and no sense buying what doesn't work for a particular area. Get an idea then contact Mike and he'll set you up. PS... orange blades on a BIG black skirt will boat you a biggun anywhere

I'd move up to one on the Shimano round reels, maybe a Calcutta B 400 series but that's just me. You may just tie into a huge fish on LOTW and I wouldn't want to chance it with a Curado, even though their a decent reel.

If your not doing a lot of casting in shallower water around structure your gonna be missing a HUGE amount of big fish. Trolling is good but there's many many big fish taken while casting. Mix it up and find what's working.

Like most folks I've towed a few boats in or offered help in other ways but always wonder exactly what we were obligated to do as far as the law goes. I talked to an OPP Marine unit cop last summer and asked him how far we were required to tow someone and he said there is actually nothing specifically layed out for that. He said basically you have to help someone in distress as long as your not endangering your own life but how far you tow them is more or less up to you. Actually, I think he was sorta stuck for answer.

Been lotsa talk around here lately about how February has been much more like winter than December & January. End of January we didn't have much snow in my little corner of the Kawarthas but we've had quite a bit in the last month or so. I took this picture a few minutes ago and it clearly shows each individual snowfall on my garage roof in the last little while. The thick top layer is 4-5 inches we got a few days ago and hasn't been compacted yet. Or maybe I'm the only one that thinks it's interesting

You may find it worth taking the chance, you'll be amazed at the difference in quality once you step up to that level of rods & reels. My favorite set-up for bucktails & spinnerbaits is Calcutta TE's on St. Croix Legend Tournament rods and after using them for a few years anything else just doesn't compare. Lotsa money but well worth the expense in my opinion.

About 10 years ago a new member joined this board and posted that he'd just bought a water front home in the Kawarthas and was looking for someone to fish muskies with. I was only a few miles from him so I called him and we arranged to hook up. I arrived at his house a couple days later, we did a bit of small talk then headed out. We trolled for 20 minutes then swung into a bay to do some casting and on about the 5th cast I got this girl. Trouble was when I reached in the net for her she swung around and ripped her teeth across the index finger on my left hand and tore it open bad enough that a pool of blood was rapidly forming around my feet. I wanted a picture of the fish but the problem was this boat had a white vinyl floor and I was quickly making it look like a war zone. Anyways, the picture was taken, the fish was released unharmed and my finger was wrapped up and then I cleaned up the boat. I'd only just met this guy less than an hour ago and didn't assume he was too impressed but we became good friends and often laughed about it later on. You can see the blood on my left hand

Honestly guys, using a baitcaster is one of the easiest things you'll ever do in your entire life. If your already doing it, your probably comfortable with how you do it so carry on with that. If your new to it or are wanting to learn, try a left hand reel and if it feels good....carry on. If it doesn't feel good try cranking with your right hand and if that feels good....carry on. Tossing a lure with a baitcaster is really REALLY easy stuff and there's absolutely NOTHING technical about it. I took my wife musky fishing last summer for the 1st time and gave her a 2 minute lesson on a baitcaster and withing about 3 casts she was doing it like a pro....'cept she never caught a musky Go fishing, have fun and definitely DON'T over think it.

When I lived in the city I did most of my shopping at JB's out in Etobicoke mainly because they carry the best selection of musky gear, but when I was travelling up to the trailer north of Peterboro and needed any other gear I always stopped in at Tightlines. Good selection of stuff and John and the crew were great guys to just yak with.

I liked the Outdoor Stores and bought a few things from them including golf clubs. $115 for clubs, bag, cart & shoes....that was a LOOONG time ago LOL Used to like Sports Authority too but haven't heard of them for years now.
