  1. I think she's entitled to an opinion Mike, just like you. If you forbid her to say what she believes in I think your making a big mistake. It's a free country and we're all entitled to say what we feel. There ya go, you asked for our thoughts LOL
  2. When all the trouble was happening in Caledonia a few years ago I very vividly remember seeing on the news an OPP van sitting on a road and one of the natives smashed out the back window. A bunch of cops were sitting inside the van and did absolutely nothing to the guy that did it. I couldn't believe what a sad & unbelievable thing I was seeing.
  3. Thanks for the link Dave, I recognize the place now but I guess just never payed much attention to it before. Been travelling up and down that road for 60 years and thought I knew every place on it LOL
  4. Can't place it Norm but there's been a lot of changes around there in the last few years.
  5. Where abouts Norm, any chance it's in the old Ace Submarine building, that place has been vacant for a couple years now.
  6. Thanks Drew, always enjoy your tales from the north.
  7. Twenty years ago my son and I crossed from Sturgeon Falls to Sandy Island at the mouth of the French. Stayed in the lodge for 3 days then crossed back to the north shore again. We checked the weather for a week before the trip and knew the weather would be good. Long trip in a 14 footer but you could sure see how folks could get into a heap of trouble on that big old lake.
  8. I just found it better to block all ads, good or bad, then I don't have to sort through them.
  9. Lotsa $$$$ tied up in equipment for you but if your gonna do something as a hobby, you may as well go all out.
  10. Makes my pictures of the feeding woodpecker look like something a little kid took. You picture quality is always incredible.

    Breakfast time

  12. They look good Rob, ALMOST as good as my wifes
  13. I agree Raf, shorter rods work better for jerk / twitch baits My preference is 7' with a 7000 Abu
  14. Looks like your starting out big time LOL
  15. Like anything else, I spose if someone wanted it bad enough they could take it. Took several guys to unload it from the truck and set it up so a few guys could definitely take it. They'd have to disconnect the plumbing too but that's not a big deal either. They'll steal the roof off your house if they want it bad enough LOL
  16. Will do Manitou
  17. Our power has gone out 4 or 5 times this winter and it sure is nice to know that within about 10 seconds Generac automatically kicks in and my house is running normally again and with a 1500 litre propane tank I'm good for a long time. Half the homes on this road have them and we stay nice and warm while the other half waits in the cold and dark for power to be restored. I've said it before, but it's some of the best $$$$ I've ever spent.
  18. I've got several feeders around the house but that one is on the back deck about 15' from patio door and is where they normally feed. If I try to open the door it spooks them so I can only take pictures thru the glass.
  19. The only fishing show I ever watch is Saric, but haven't seen it on the tube in months and thought maybe it had been cancelled so I'll have to start looking for it again.
  20. Powers good over here Cliff but if needed, Mr. Generac has my back.
  21. Neighbors of mine are in their 80's and have spent the entire winter in Florida every year for the last 47 years. This year their out of country health insurance was gonna cost them $8000 for 6 months so they had to stay home. Their sure not enjoying their 1st Canadian winter since 1967 LOL
  22. I downloaded Adblock a few days ago and no longer see any ads like you seeing now.
  23. Saw on the news where some money folks are thinking the Canadian dollar will drop to $0.69 in the next little while.
  24. I'm not sure but I think the issue is the fact that the CO2 cartridges are compressed gas rather than flammable.
