Early season like this I always did well throwing smallish spinnerbaits in shallow water, specially around pencil reeds if you can find them. Night time in the same shallows will also boat you a bunch of fish. Opening day 10 or 12 years ago I boated 9 before 10:00 AM

I've had Raynauds for many years and find hand warmers to be a HUGE help. I buy mine from CTC and they last about 8 hours in my mitts and really do work well.

I just bought a new 2018 F150 Lariat 2 weeks ago and it has trailer assist on it. I spose it may be good for some folks but I've always thought if you can't back up a trailer on your own maybe you shouldn't be towing one. But then again, maybe I'm just old school.

I've got dozens of birds around my feeders and lots of food for them, chickadees, cardinals, doves, sparrows, bluejays, crows and plenty of robins wondering why the heck did I leave Florida

3 or 4 inches of snow over here and that's lots better than the 8-12 inches they were calling for, but no freezing rain yet but it sounds like there's plenty on the way.

I've got a link to the weathernetwork on my puter and now they're calling for 6-8" od snow for this area. The fun just continues.

They're also talking about the chance of a big ice storm this weekend too.

Regular gas jumped from $1.17 to $1.27 here last night but that's a regular occurance here. It'll jump that much regularly then over the next 2 weeks it'll gradually come down then jump 12-15 cents again just like a gigantic roller coaster. Lately though it doesn't come down as much but then jumps higher.

I've been through it Matt and it's the absolute worst thing a parent can experience and I can't even imagine how many family members and friends are going through it right now.
