  1. Gross weight is 3650 and the 14" Marathons are rated at 1870 each. Oh well, I'm towing it 20 miles to Pigeon on the weekend for the musky opener and that'll be the final trip with a load on it. It's an excellent trailer though with all the options, swing away tongue , LED lights, torsion axle, surge disc brakes, Vault hubs and auto ratcheting rear tie-downs, It's just not suited for this particular boat.
  2. Your 100% correct Chris, and even after 45 years of marriage she still treats me like a Prince Gonna be painted basically the same color as my current trailer Bruce
  3. Your right Bruce and I can only blame myself. When I purchased the Skeeter 2 years ago (you were there), it came on a custom EZ LOADER and when I checked the capacity plate on the trailer and thought it said it was good for carrying 3950 pounds. I didn't especially want a single axle but figured it was good. A few weeks back I was cleaning under the boat and noticed the trailer wasn't rated for 3950, but rather only 2950 which is darned near the weight of the boat, motor, 3 batteries and gas before I even add all the other stuff. Diane keeps telling me to put my darned glasses on Soon as I noticed how close I was to capacity I ordered the tandem. No idea why boat companies put new boats on trailers that have very little spare capacity.
  4. When a deal is done and everybody shakes hands with smiles on their faces, life is good.
  5. We worked an extemely good deal on the trade-in Art and it's something both myself & the dealer are very happy with.
  6. I could be wrong, quite possibly infact, but I'm pretty sure Mike P. is very familiar with that camp and if so, he'll give you everything you need.
  7. Thanks Roy, I figured it was the same as purchasing a new vehicle. I'll post a pic when I pick it up.
  8. Morning boyz I'm having a new tandem axle trailer custom built for my boat and am picking it up next week and am trading in my current trailer. I think I only pay tax on the price of the trailer after the trade-in has been deducted....am I correct ??
  9. Thanks MB, reading stuff like that is a great way to start a day. Oh ya, nice fish too !!
  10. For those of you who are already complaining about the FIRST hot day of the year, here's a little reminder of what's only about 6 months down the road
  11. I may be interested in up-grading to one of your works of art myself someday Chris, just not sure about the fondling part though
  12. Absolutely Jim, she's had the musky bug real bad for a few years now and she joins me as often as possible. Where bout's you guys heading on Saturday ??
  13. .....I sure did pick the wrong day to work outside in the sun all afternoon digging a new vegetable garden. It's sorta like working inside a pizza oven with that blazing hot sun beating down. The thermometer outside the window right now reads 35C and I'm lovin every minute of it. It's been a long, cool, wet spring so far so it sure is great to finally see some nice summer like weather.
  14. I've probably seen your boat many times, I always use their ramp when I'm fishing Upper Buck.
  15. This'll be me Addy, hopefully with a big stringer of muskies dragging behind C'mon over & say hey if you spot us. What boat will you be in ??
  16. I'm probably gonna launch at Gannons Narrows Marina Phil but not sure of the time yet.
  17. I'm heading to the shallow weed flats on Pigeon south of Gannons Narrows.
  18. Atta boy perodimi, a 10 pounder is a nice fish !!
  19. If that wasn't sooooo sad and pathetic Terry, it would be almost funny. Makes you wonder how some companies manage to survive, let alone thrive.
  20. I woulda thought birds eye is what your most used to
  21. Really great to see you giving those old gems a 2nd life Bernie and seeing them on the cedarstrips sure brings back some fond memories.
  22. Your doing a great thing here Ron and it's gonne be very interesting to see how it plays out.
  23. I had a couple Starcraft tillers back in the day and they were both excellent boats. You should get alot of good years out of your new boat.
  24. Lotsa that going around Wayne, unfortunately.
  25. I bought my F-150 new last year and 30 days after picking it up someone backed into it and left a 1/4" deep, 12" long gouge in the rear passenger door, then took off. I took it back to the dealer where they repaired the gouge and repainted the door for $400
