Any experience ordering electronics from Fishing World?

I still give them an A. Bills bait gets an A+. -
The reason we would go ice fishing was to cook in the hut and wash it all down with uhh red soda pop, yea soda pop. Why else, fishing? We once traded a few bowls of Pasta Fagoli , sometimes known as fasool, for a 1/2 bottle of Newfie screech. I don't remember anything after that. Once on Nip we washed out a pot that had red sauce in it around a hole. Dick Donavan came with the machine to get us and jokingly asked "who got murdered?" I said hey Dick, 5 guys came out with us and there's 4 going back, but you will say 5 right Dick, right!!!!? Actually 5 did go out but one of the guys went back with another group earlier. Man he got quiet real fast. Man I miss ice fishing. That is a nice hitch you made there and nice salseeges, but no kraut, man. Now all I need to see is what a Smitty Sled looks like.

OK D/16 I give? I know that's the You know yer a redneck guy, but fill me in. Please. -
Oh the memories. Flying down the QEW to Sherkston Beach with the top down on the TR6 with the Muntz Quadrophnic 100 watt per channel 8 track cranked as my curly flowing locks blew in the wind a foot behind. Not too many drum solos and yodelling in songs these days. Pass me the peach schnapps you Hippy freak.

Hamilton, well that explains much. Years of inhaling carbon and sulphur dioxide does a bit of brain damage. I have to get into my space module and get back to the Mothership now. So much for everyone including me guessing it ended up on Six Nations.

I never knew St.Clair was a great lake. Stupidity is a DNA thing, he can blame his parents. I have read a few accounts of a few misguided souls that purposely walked across Erie. I think one account was from a young man that crossed the western end in the 70's, successfully I might add. I believe I read it here last year. I wonder how many have tried and never lived to tell of it. -

They did have a few "kids" behind the counter that spent more time next door pumping iron than gaining knowledge about the things they were selling and I gave the owners my thoughts. But there will always be a few that are not as good as most. -
Can't go South anymore so we are thinking of going West

For anyone depending on their benefits from their workplace just be aware most have a maximum. Ours is 100K for life, now that I have been drawing on it for 15 years and top up isn't doable once retired I'm down to 22K, that's regular prescriptions and dental, It adds up quickly. A friend was under the assumption there was no max and had a rude awakening. Had he or his wife taken ill they may have lost everything. There are even stipulations in the fine print for pre existing conditions for company plans. Ask. -
you guys are the best, thank you all.

Wonderful outing JoeyT. How do you do up the Lakers. There are a rare find here, too shallow of a lake (Erie) I believe. It's been 30 years since I put one in the boat at Lynn Lake Man.

"The Fishin' With Jack Show." I'm glad to see it's still on the air. What the heck are you feeding that child besides fresh fish? He is getting vertical quickly. My wife says with those eyes and his curly hair he is going to be a heartbreaker. I loved that the closer that Pike got to the hole the faster that jingle bell was ringing. I've never seen a fish latch onto a transducer wire. Mr. Pike wouldn't be too happy after I took a few bites out of him if he had of bit through the wire. Refreshing, and he is getting better on the business end of a rod. ' Enjoy these treasurable times. JD

Thank you for the giggles. Second favorite golf comedy scene was the fight in Happy Gilmore. Bob Barker looks pretty good since I thought he was dead. -
New to me Mercury Mariner 2 hp 2 stroke outboard!!
Old Ironmaker replied to northernpike56's topic in General Discussion
My cousin tried to kill himself and his little tyke by strapping a 20 HP Merc on the back of his 7 foot inflatable and pulled the kid on skis. The only person near death was him when his wife found out that the 7 year old had to sit up front to act as a ballast. Find something an engine can be attached to and man will find a way to race it. I never thought a canoer could be charged for creating a wake in a no wake zone. Great score by the way. That would be a perfect match for Featherstone Teds 90 Mariner as the kicker. $250.00!!!!! -

I'm lucky to have Fishing World close to home so no need to order online. I used to live down the street. I would not hesitate to deal with them, I have for 26 years. I went to their grand opening when they were down a few hundred yards in a small store the size of a sub shop. Remember that store Dave? It was the talk of the fishing community in Hamilton, no more driving to LeBaron. If they don't carry what you want they will price it and bring it in. Actually I just bought a combo I sure didn't need there last month $70.00 less than BPS wanted. When they have a sale it's not a measly 10 or 15% off. Go for it. -
I said "generally" since this is a G rated site I will not elaborate.

When someone tries to tell me I should seriously consider being a vegan or vegetarian I tell them "if God didn't want me to eat meat He wouldn't have given me incisors. Please pass me that veal shank." I never get vegan and vegetarian straight. One eats zero that has eyes, the other only eats less intelligent animals, fish or birds. A chicken but not an Eagle, a perch but not a Shark?

Can't go South anymore so we are thinking of going West
Old Ironmaker replied to Big Cliff's topic in General Discussion
My wonderful in-laws, not being sarcastic here a guy couldn't have asked for better, lived in Victoria and I have friends there as well and have been going to Victoria for 25 years. Cliff the prices they are asking for a nice room there now is not in my budget. Now of course that's depending on the accommodations. Mom and Dad moved to Qualcom Beach around 98'. It is north but the fishing from shore and from the pier was fantastic in March. The major airlines fly from TO direct now so that really saves on a ferry or puddle jumper.I have not been there since 04' so can't comment on prices now but it was less than Victoria then. I don't know what your budget is but as HTHM pointed out be prepared for sticker shock. I stayed at their place doing some remodelling for 3 weeks and was absolutely floored at the price of everything from lettuce to ladders. It's an Island, everything has to be shipped or flown in, no rail or roads. Off topic, the 100 year old cottage that was rotting from the bottom up was purchased for 85K sold for 600K for the lot alone in 06' after my wifes step father passed. -
Dan, for the walls, floor and roof look at the material they make Sunroom walls of. You can get R-22 in a 3.75" wall thickness and they are very, very light weight. Google Temo Sunrooms and see if there is a dealer near you to source the materials. We did have a Temo dealership 10 years ago and one of the installers made a ice hut with the product. With the wall system and the aluminum connectors a 6X8 foot weighted almost nothing. Heating it was a breeze. The system is hurricane rated. I know Leisure Living out of Hamilton/Burlington is still in the business and they also had a Temo dealership up to 5 years ago.

Naw, but I don't go for that stuff, Walleye and Smallies for me, it could have worked out, too bad. -
I've been known to hog the mic during Karaoke night so I will sing a few tunes, Proud Mary, Nesun Dorma, O sole Mio, Baby It's Cold Outside, a mixed bag of sweet serenades. My wife always asks if I know " Far, Far, Away?" because she always says go sing far, far away. Rarely I turn on the CD player but when I do it's always the sound track of Oh Brother Were Art Thou? Always, never fail, because that CD is stuck in it.

Dinner is on me only if you invite me in for a night cap, wink, wink. -
I would always prefer to pay my personal taxes or corporate taxes annually than monthly. Better sitting in my hands than in the Gov's hands. Dinged is dinged M2B2, so I'd rather get dinged once rather than every time I was paid. What really P*&&d me off was having to collect and remit GST for the government using my resources that cost me $$. Just as bad as Gov's for ridiculous inefficiencies is Hewlett Packard. I kept track of the telephone time it took me to get a bad laptop replaced from the first week I bought it was 32, yep thirty two hours talking on the phone. Returned the original piece of crappola 3 times over 10 months before it was replaced by this piece of crappola. It took me over an hour to give 3 different call centre employees my email address until they got it right. I will never, ever, in this life or any other life if I ever have another buy a HEWLETT PACKARD product again. That fiasco is for another thread.
