I can't believe you are talking about this here in the middle of August. Ontario FISHING Community. Join a CBC chat forum or go fishin . Maybe in February, but August? I respect your opinions but not subjects at this time in our political climate. More important things to deal with today for the average Canuck other than politicians that need a few months on Jenny Craig. Beam me. up Scotty.

Just enough time to enjoy this summer, why spoil it wasting time on crooked politicians and their despicable antics. Our children are shooting each other on our streets with hand guns. Now there is a political problem that needs to be solved. I personally could care less what they do on the Hill. How will proving this duffus or that dough head lied effect my life? Maybe a typical Canadian view.

You are a man of a dying breed Big Guy. I try and help out when I can and hopefully one day long from now someone might be there to help me. You on the other hand would never take that into consideration. Too bad Cliff because you will be paid back on this Earth or somewhere else if that place exists.

The first game against the Yankees the other day when they blew a 2 run lead was the first game I watched more than 3 innings since the year they cancelled the World Series. It did take me back to ALSC times in the early 90's during the 9th inning the other night. Sell out crowds, energy, fans having fun, players too, that was fun to watch. I did learn something though, Manager challenges, replay reviews? That's how long I've been away. I guess the game wasn't slow enough before some days. Oh my. As everything else some people just can't keep things alone and feel everything needs to be improved. Some things were just fine the way they were.

I'm outside looking up. Clear skies no moon, no meteors and a sore neck. Later maybe. Set the alarm for 03:00.

They ask to see the card before they ask for a fishing licence, for sure. I still keep my original temp card with my Passport if I loose mine. I should be able to show that until a replacement comes. How I can loose it in the boat who knows but I know I will someday, 100% guaranteed.

Your Mom is probably my age Rick. It takes you 3 buttons to punch and it works for you. Me, it would take me a week at the University to learn it, I still can't work Photo Bucket. I'm serious and to think I used to install 8 tracks and set up everyone's stereos and VHS machines. If shes like me it's a waste of $$$. Brian a hand held GPS is redundant for you in my opinion. How can you get lost where you live? Go too far one way and they speak Americun, too far east and they speak French. You want one so you can be in control in your buddies boat. If we ever get out in mine when I charge the battery you can drive, no problem. Go nuts, you watch TV and I'll watch the rods. and you can save 600 Samolians.

Thinking about it that thing could have been a hazard marker or marking a sunken vessel, snow machine or whatever. If I see a marker in the future I will leave it where I found it. It might be a structure marker which was the only thing on board to mark it with. I don't carry MT jugs onboard my boat but have a few orange markers. But the guys in the boat upsetting any youngster will still get a well placed flare between the eyes.

If you start fretting over 20 bucks here and 10 bucks there you will never go out. I figured that a vehicle that one puts 20K on in a year costs 20 to 40 bucks every time you start it in the morning or let it sit in the driveway. Albert I bet you are the type of person that calculates gas mileage based on RPM at different speeds. Don't calculate what a pound of Walleye actually costs when you do all the number crunching. This a very expensive sport. I know some guys that spend $20.00 on a Live Target and won't put in on the line because they might lose it for C's sakes. The old saying was never buy a Caddy if you have to ask how many miles to the gallon it gets. Enjoy the boat and go fishing man. (the aforementioned statements to be taken with a grain of salt).

Maybe for the man cave but other then that I'm not so sure. The owner of that "outdoor" furniture has a very understanding partner or single. Kitschy to the nines.

I know a 9.9 Merc 2 stroke and a 15 Merc 2 stroke are the exact same engine and wt. with a larger carb on the 15. I know the 20 is heavier because I have to mount both on the boys boats in the spring.

How much does a bottle of domestic beer sell for? It's been that long. Don't forget it's on the water, everything costs more on the water.

Don't mess with launching your new boat anywhere but a proper launch. We went to Upper NY State to fish and there was not a proper launch on the whole lake. In was no problem it took 2 hours with 4 guys taking it out. Your boat is too big. This is part of the cost, pay to launch or rent a slip like I do. It really hurts when I have a slip and pull it out and pay to launchplus I live on the waterfront and can't put in a dock because of the big waves..

You can eat Fresh Water Drum (sheepshead), Smoke them on a cedar plank like a Salmon. Take them off the plank, throw the fish out and eat the plank. Maybe a Bouillabaisse. Let me know how they taste.

What are you talking about Netminder? A few of my very religious in laws tell me the earth is a few thousand years old. Dinosaurs is just a hoax started by people that wanted to make a museum popular in the 1800"s. I was just outside looking up, nada. My wife was on the phone at the same time in the Muskoka's, clear there but no action either (better not be!!!!) We will look tomorrow night at same time.

I can't cut and paste my response from the "other" site but you may be able to Albert. I have to add to that you have a choice to not give them your business like us many locals that have been going there for more than 30 years have chosen not to go again. Rant all you want, that's what we can all do here once and awhile, right?

I am very sorry for your loss but that's nature. There are always what I call "Dogs that need a job". Don't get a water dog unless you bring it out to work the water. Don't get a setter if you don't bring her out to a field. Don't get a Doberman if you don't want him to bark every time there is a noise outside. Get the right dog for the job. There are many pups out there that are abandoned and would love you to be their Master. I haven't had one for years. We are in the country on the lake but have neighbours from the cities that come out on weekends and the first thing they do is put up a freeking fence to cage the dog. I swear. I wan't my dog to run free that dogs should but don't want to have problems with my neighbours and I would want my dog to be a dog, not a caged pet. So Ticha has 2 cat's that brings home dead rabbits for me. And I cook them. She thinks I buy them. Why should a cat be able to roam the neighbourhood but not a dog? Yes it isn't supposed to but it happens everywhere.

Very nice. Slick would be the word. I can see it obviously but the banner at the top is the old one. Back to doing dishes now, lots of dishes. Paper plates for the next 3 days.

How much happier can I get? Fished today, golfed yesterday and my wife hasn't given me hell since Sunday. She comes home Friday though so I better start cleaning this place up tomorrow.
-
I have never been there but can tell you my brother was there on the weekend with his lady and while she was reeling in a small Rock Bass off the dock a 5 pound pic took it and the hook (yes she released it). She then put on the biggest Rappala on that she had and continues fishing and got 3 more smaller legally caught Walters. So I can tell you with certainty there are fish in there.

Unfortunately I would have placed a 12 gauge flare right between his eyes and reloaded it, "who's next".

Nip is the place I caught most of my first ever fish. I started when I was 30, great family memories from west of Callander. A fantastic report you D.P. some of those fish are as big as the tykes. Keep it going because as G. Mech sais they won't be coming with the old foggies sooner than later.

You will save money with NG hot water. I know people that only wished they had NG out here in the boonies. If you can get away with a direct vent or vent to a common chimney go with that because yes, a power vent has to have Hydro for the fan to work. One advantage of power vent besides safety is that it will produce HW faster and it can be used to supply in floor hydronic heating, at least that was what is was in 2000 when I installed ours.
