  1. Maybe he typed in Osaka by mistake.
  2. Man oh man. That is a shame. No one needs that. I stopped into my parents home to check on it many years ago when they wintered in Florida every year. I saw steam coming up from the basement. Long story short the vent popped open on the hot water heater, it must have happened when I pulled into the driveway. Lucky no damage but a wet floor. Were they away for an extended period when it happened? I don't know about all insurance companies but now if we are away for a period of time and all the utilities are left on I must ensure someone is either at my place full time or someone is checking "regularly" what ever that is to mean. I hope they are fully covered. Maybe our insurance Guru can pipe in. After I found out about this clause we started to comply with their requirements until that wasn't an option and paid a higher premium when they or we were down south for the winter. You don't get this info from a broker it comes from the company proper. House sitting is becoming a big business. A warning to our long term travellers here, are you fully insured for damages when you are away? Most are not and don't know it.
  3. You can't beat the generosity of a good ole Steel Town man. Good for you Vinni. Vince means "winner", you are one.
  4. My phone is easy. I type in the number that I want to talk to and they say "Hello". That's how I use it. The old fashioned way. My wife can talk into it and a text message is typed out. I just call the person. Does this phone of mine do other stuff I don't need to know like tell me I'm lost, again? Now if could cut the grass I might do more with it.
  5. I liked 8 better. It had issues but don't they all do? My brother has a Mac and he doesn't think it's worth the extra bucks. What ever happened to poor Windows 9? You PC nuts know the answer.
  6. You guys did great. That spoon sure took a beating. Good move to move up on the hook size. Sometimes it's just enough to drive it deeper into the fish.
  7. Moving in the same direction as the fish are is the tough part. Do you or anyone else have a trick to move in the same direction as the fish? See Brian, they haven't all been caught. Dave, with that method with the minnows you don't need to bring a lunch.
  8. If you haven't left yet don't. The wind is blowing like it's November out here. There is a high wind warning for the next few days with winds gusting at 45KPH from the SW. No fun even on that river. I saw a few guys shore fishing along the river Thursday. A few at Fishmaster's Marina and along the banks where access is the old Hot Dog place and marina on the south side of the bridge. The place where the mini-putt is. It's closed now but the gate must be open. Come to think of it don't go there as you need to drive to the rivers shoreline and with this rain you might get stuck unless you have 4WD.
  9. Walleye numbers are good there. The trick is to get as vertical as possible as the current there is quite fast. 3/4 oz jig and plastic or live minnow seems to have worked this year and most others. The key is a good electric motor to get as vertical as possible. I didn't doubt your motives Shloim. If you are looking to repair that leak PM or email me. If my guy here isn't available as this is the busiest time of year for a boat repair I can recommend a local guy that can do it right too. Check out Stomps Channel 6-8 Fishing Forum and do a search for LSC. I don't know if I am breaking any rules for recommending a different forum Art?
  10. I think Wormdunker is using Windows 95.
  11. That looks like it swallowed a boat fender. I have seen a 7 here and it was massive but that 8 is morbidly obese, the 7 was in proportion. Better see Jenny Craig.
  12. And she didn't know the difference from R and D ???? I better not say anything more. I have been known to do some stupid things myself. Like forgetting the 5 buck plug.
  13. I found the Rainbow put up a better battle than the Coho.
  14. Yea I fixed it. What's a few zero's. $150.00 for a worm harness is steep! 22 bucks for a good quality Coleman BBQ cover. Our TSC store in Simcoe can't come close to Princess Auto anywhere unless you are into farming. I never saw fishing tackle there.
  15. I have gone back to a liquidation store in Brantford that my wife dragged me into called Channel Control. 2 Shimano rods for 30 bucks each. Both 40% off sticker price. A few tables of tackle all 30% off. Live Target for 12 bucks. Worm harnesses $1.50. I went back there to get a 75,000 total BTU Propane that is convertible to NG which I have now for $160.00. If it lasts 3 years I'm good with that, I don't even need it, that will be 3 I have now. A pal that took a ride with me bought 1 as well. A lady behind me snagged 10. The closest comparable BBQ at Home Depot is $325.00 but propane only and 45,000 BTU. Solar lights $1.25 each. Racks and racks of clothes all 40% off, most from Target but many name brands too like Izod and Bill Blass. A Dri-Fit brand name long sleeve shirt was 8 bucks, great for the boat in summer. Just off Wayne Gretzky south of the 403 in the industrial plaza behind Home Depot.
  16. No it doesn't. Toronto is closer to some great Pike fishing than LSC.
  17. My exact sentiments. Knowing Shloim a bit from when he bought his boat I wouldn't think that's a motive. There are many more "Pike" lakes around. I have never heard of anyone targeting Pike there from being on another small local western Erie/ Detroit River/LSC board. Walleye and Musky yes, not Pike though. If I was looking for Pike I would find feeder creeks close to deeper water. The post spawn pike should be found in warmer thus shallow warmer water sunning themselves. Work from shallow to the drop off and work that ledge from top to bottom with crank baits, jerk baits and spoons. No need for a steel leader anymore. 60 pound Seagar Fluorocarbon works like a charm. Only a young hammer handles might chew through it, maybe. Good electronics is the key to finding that drop off and where they are stacked up. Go get em Shloim. I guess you found and repaired that leak in the boat.
  18. Man. Greta Penelope Skrufindoodle, she doesn't give the best directions at times. I think we have all had stories about her. Would it not have had to be zero visibility to drive a car into the water? She walked for help. I guess the phone she was texting on was too wet. Lets see, early 20's, late at night, Toyota Yaris, and a woma, I mean person, probably not texting just looking at Greta instead of the road. She was quoted as saying: "Speaking through provincial police, the driver of the car declined all media requests." No crap Sherlock.
  19. That would be 40,000 safe Trout if I targeted them. Only caught a few nice Rainbow looking for Walleye. Man they put up a fight. I see why guys go after them now. That's not many but better than what we do on this side as far as stocking Erie. Do we stock any trout here into Erie? I know we used to stock Walleye into Nanticoke Creek but that was many years ago.
  20. I found some today at HD in Brantford. Thanks for all the help. If anyone wants a cheap high come down and we will glue it in! No way to get high kids, getting high is NOT good except for a natural high like exercise or fishing.
  21. There isn't a LIKE feature here but I give one to all posts here.
  22. What browser are you using Wormdunker. I had the same problems sometime back and now again, that's why I asked you to use email rather than PM. I switched to Google Chrome by suggestion of Art then switched back when I got Windows 10 as Chrome caused me bigger problems. Now all of my options here on OFC like Bold, font etc. doesn't work. I love computers, don't you?
