The poor Bear. Seriously Lew what did you do if anything so you didn't become lunch? The only Bears we have around here is the angry type that have to get up early to go to work every day.

I visited family who have a vacation spot there on a long weekend about 10 years back. None of the folks I went with fished but a neighbour of theirs did. We struck up a conversation and he lent me a rod and reel and we walked to a spot not far from the cottage. We caught Smallies with anything we threw until I was tired of casting. The place is loaded with Smallmouth. No trophy fish but plenty of them. Good luck and have fun.

I have a close friend and Bro in Law that are in the landscape/plow business have more than a few guys that use a 1/2 ton. A 1/2 ton 4X4 will be just fine if you are only doing 1 small lot. As long as it's a Silverado! Not as much bling as the other 2 but as I always say it's just a truck. I don't need coolers under the rear floors. A back up camera would be nice plowing though.

It's as simple as the closer one gets to the GTA the more non "WASP" races one will see. Read about the charges and fines laid in the Nippising area, you will find more French names, a co incidence, no there are more people with French Canadian backgrounds. Both sets of my Grand Parents were born in Italy, my last name is Italian, am I more apt to be in a not so secret criminal organization? Not all Italians are mobbed up and not all Asians are poachers. Why not just say Asian, would that have been more accurate and less racist than foreigner, I'm not sure, I wasn't there? This political correctness has gone to far. But our friend in Washington is changing that. After thinking about it why not just say "poachers".

As low as 105.9 here in Haldimand county. As far as gas mileage for my 011' Silverado with the 327ci, I know I should have got the 350 but they didn't have one, all I know is that if I am towing my 19 foot aluminum I can expect the fuel consumption to more than double when I am not towing the boat and stuff. Just got back from a trip yesterday. I can get there and back on a quarter tank not towing, I used 3/4's of a tank towing this week. I don't drive hard, anymore.

Just yesterday we returned from a 3 day 2 night trip from Burwell. 2 young CO's came into the park, Otter Creek Marina and checked several of us for compliance. We as well as a few others at the ramp and cleaning station were all good. The fishing was phenomenal. Please PM me for the where, when and what. http://mnrwatch.com/three-men-fined-1500-each-for-over-limit-of-walleye/

I as well got bright yellow paint on my black car. By the time the county, my insurance company and I came to an agreement for reimbursement the paint wore off.

Driving 24,000 KM per year that would be around $12,166.00 of Tim coffee buying 2 cups a day, not factoring in inflation. They say a person that buys some coffee and snacks or 10 bucks a day spends over $100,000.00 in ones working years, if they retire after 30 years, not factoring in inflation. Yes we can 2 dollar a day ourselves to death. I don't disagree Terry, I just don't want to add it all up as I go through life. I just can't stress over a few bucks a week for fuel driving as little as I do now, which yes adds up of course.

Before I read a single post I can tell you that you aren't a candidate to ride, let alone with someone behind you. I have been told one can never be too old to do something or learn new tricks, not always, sometimes 58 is old and too old to learn new tricks. Comparing riding a bicycle and riding a bike is like saying I should be able to fly a plane because I know how to drive a car. -
I have no idea how many litres/100 km I get. All I know is when I'm low on gas I fill it up. Unless those that have a vehicle for business I know of no one that has sold there ride because they are using a few liters more than he guy in the other vehicle. 1 liter more of fuel over 62 miles (100KMS) is .0174 cents per mile at $1.08 a liter. How much is a Hortons coffee now?

I just packed my Stormtech jacket and pants for a trip. It's 17 years old and looks and works like new. I don't even know if they still make them, I haven't had to replace it.

Zack hasn't been Zack since he tore up his knee. How is he going to be able to play well when the defensive line and backers are in the backfield by the time he takes 2 steps. Something like 4 sacks in the 1st half. I don't know who he is but that right tackle is atrocious. He is pushed backwards 2 yards on every play on the snap of the ball. 63 I think. On the other side where's the safety? He's 10 yards from the play when the corner is man to man. That's his job, support the corner on man on man when the middle is clear. At least they dressed Gable, and he played well but, he is however a terrible pass blocker and that was proven last night. . He has been a healthy scratch, not even dressed, which is football talk for being benched. Kent Austin's head is going to explode on live TV, poor guy I feel for him and you Dave, me too a bit because I'm an Hamilton East Ender no matter where I live. But hey they are only 0-7, go 9 and 9 or even 8 and 10 and they are in the playoff the way the east is playing. Go 11 and 10 and they win the Grey Cup. I gotta go, packing the boat to go FISHING for 3 days. -

Only down by 16 at the 11 minute mark of the 3rd quarter. Better than 17 I guess. June Jones Fish Farmer, June Jones? And they fire probably the best coach on the team they had. Not fair to blame Reinbold, not fair, set him up to fail. -
I figured that. There are more old good movies than good new movies. A good movie these days is hard to find. La La Land, Birdman, the best movies they could find to vote for an Oscar a few years back? Watching the Cats getting their claws clipped again. Poor Fish Farmer. Medlock kicks a 56 yarder, Wowza. That's his 4th tonight.

I saw Meatballs in the drive-in when it came out, hilarious. A guy that played ball against us in HS in Hamilton was the humongous beast of a guy in the movie, I think he's the guy that ate 50 hot dogs or something in the flic. Hummel is his real name, a long time ago. We really like all the Jason Bourne movies. He must have gained 30 pounds of muscle for the latest one. Jason sure takes a likin' and keeps on tickin'. Alan Rickman is good.

I will watch any and everything with my girl Charlize in it, in any language. In her first movie she had 2 minutes on the screen as a Ski Bum. That had to be 25 years ago. I turned to my then girlfriend and said she is going to be a movie star, and she is. I just checked on IMDb, the movie was 1996 called "Two Days In The Valley" staring Teri Hatcher.

Change ALL the fluids regardless of how it looks, listen to Dan. I ruined a classic Benz letting it sit in a damp garage for 2 years. I bet that stupidity cost me 15 grand. To get it running right would have cost me another 6K or more not including interior, body and chrome work. Parts are not cheap for a Mercedes 560 SEC. What an idiot.

I just watched a clip from Baby Driver on IMDb (great site). I want to see it. But everyone knows the get away car can't be red. It's the heat score colour. Then again a Cop would never think these guys parked in front of the Bank in the red car with the doors open can't be that stupid.

We would take the strip of Y bones from a Northern, put them in a food processor with egg, bread crumbs and spices and blend it. Made fish cakes and you would never find a Y bone. Waste nothing. It's amazing to find some that keep Walleye don't know about the cheeks. Can't remember trying Pike cheeks though.

I had a similar Sea Eagle up until a few years ago. I actually had it for sale here. Take it from me you don't stand up in one. It came up from the US.

A 3 pound Pike wins a Pike derby in an upper NY State lake we fish every year. I told then they fished it out, no way they said. Then one of the guys brings old faded out pics from the drug store of stringers from the 70's and 80's of 5 pounders.

We had a duzzy here over the lake for 20 minutes. The sky was pitch black. No need to water the tomatoes because half are on the ground. Water spout warnings. Ever see s squirrel with a tomato in it's mouth. Furred Rats.

Thanks, are we going fishing? It's coming up to trophy Bass season Tom. We can go out after 5PM and be back before dusk. I need to wet the bottom of my boat. Soon Maitland will be quiet on weekends. I can do a Sat. Sunday now. -
We want to see Dunkirk, yes thanks John. We usually wait until Fall at least to watch movies but some evenings this summer it feels like Fall. We haven't had a single bon fire this year. Too wet or too dangerous because of the wind. I've even tried watching the CFL, even the Cats, oh my.
