So they got a little rain in Saskchewan!!! NF
Roy replied to Headhunter's topic in General Discussion
Steelheaders should be there any minute. They should have shopped out the background. -
We caught perch, crappie, sun fish, rock bass, blue gills
Roy replied to Big Cliff's topic in General Discussion
Certainly sounds like a fine time to me too! A day on the water with a bud is hard to beat. -
Fantastic report, Tyler. They really are a beautiful fish but much larger where you are. Ours seem to all be in the 2-5lb range. Thanks for sharing.

There are 58 in post #1 and 18 in post#2

Still legal for smelt here but that would be a poor choice for a smelt light.

Yes, everyone has a right to their opinion. This is however a fishing community. No one enjoys being harassed every time they take the time to post a report. If you don't like the catch limits, have them changed. Don't come on here belly aching about seeing pictures of fish on a fishing board. Please keep this in mind the next time you post.

Lots of BIG skeeters here today. They could stand flatfooted and rape a turkey.

Welcome aboard Sam. Nice meeting you at Lakair. Looking forward to hearing of your fishing stories.

Fantastic report once again, Hon. Was great to see you again though we never chat long enough. You've got some stellar pics there during your stay and a mouse key for Paul on Monday! WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO! It was wonderful seeing you again and looking forward to seeing you both again soon.

Do you mean the baits or just the bucktails themselves?
-
Nice shot, Larry! It looks like "the pond" from here. Get some fishies?
-
You and Sly did a great job, Kevin. Thanks for the super report.

I was doing groceries in a few stores this morning and generally speaking, for all brands, beer is $1 a bottle.

This kinda thing reminds me of when you hear of an "innocent bystander" being hurt or arrested for some reason because he was there. I'm sorry, I don't buy into that. You KNOW that there's a demonstration or something going on, stay the hell away from there and let people do their jobs. If you go there to gawk at what's going on, you're part of the problem.

Yeah, NO fish in Sturgeon eh Cliff?

Nice to get into a clean boat. How often do you guys do yours? I know that it depends on usage but generally speaking....do you clean your boats out thoroughly once a year? Once a month? After every outing? And yes, I use a pressure washer too...spray any dirt spots with a mild detergent...a few scrubs with a brush then wash away.

I just read the manual and it seems the cord is needed but is not an option and comes with the unit. You might want to call the people who sold it to you.

Asian Carp Confirmed Above Chicago Electrical Barrier
Roy replied to craigdritchie's topic in General Discussion
When this Asian carp fiasco was first being discussed quite a while back, a very good friend and guide told me that the ONLY option was to poison the affected waterway(s). At the time, I thought that his option was a little drastic. I now know better. -
Almost worth printing out a copy and keeping it in the tacklebox for the first few outings eh? Thanks Garry, that's great info regardless of one's level of competence.

Ti, a drink with jam and bread....

Welcome aboard, Matt. Some great catches you have there!

Agreed, John. Again, here is the text of both warranty types as spelled out on Shimano's site. Sounds quite clear to me. Shimano Rod - Limited Lifetime Warranty As used herein, “Shimano” will mean “Shimano American Corporation” with respect to United States warranty claims and “Shimano Canada Ltd. / LTÉE” with respect to Canadian warranty claims. Shimano and Shimano Canada Ltd. / LTÉE warrant to the original retail purchaser that this rod will be free from non-conformities in materials and workmanship. Shimano's sole obligation under this Limited Lifetime Warranty is to repair or replace, at Shimano's option, a non-conforming rod at no cost to the original retail purchaser other than the cost of packing, insuring, and shipping the rod to Shimano. This Limited Lifetime Warranty will be considered VOID if the rod is found to have been subjected to repairs not authorized by Shimano, or if it has been modified, neglected, improperly maintained, misused, abused, or the appearance of the product reveals damage by your failure to provide proper maintenance. To request warranty repairs on a United States warranty claim, send your rod, postage prepaid, to Shimano or return it to the retailer that it was purchased from. To request warranty repairs on a Canadian warranty claim, send your rod, postage prepaid to Shimano Canada Ltd. / LTÉE or return it to an Authorized Canadian Warranty Center. All warranty requests must be accompanied by a valid dated sales receipt and a brief note describing the difficulty you are experiencing with the rod in as much detail as possible. Rods that are repaired or replaced by Shimano or Shimano Canada Ltd. / LTÉE under the terms of this Limited Lifetime Warranty will be shipped back to you with Shimano or Shimano Canada Ltd. / LTÉE paying the return shipping charges. If your rod should be found to require repairs outside of the coverage provided by this Limited Lifetime Warranty, Shimano or Shimano Canada Ltd. / LTÉE will perform the repair or replacement and bill you for parts, labor, and return shipping charges. Retailer and wholesaler outlets are not required to perform warranty repairs or exchanges on behalf of Shimano or Shimano Canada Ltd. / LTÉE, nor are they authorized to modify this warranty in any way. THIS LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY DOES NOT EXTEND TO OR COVER ANY DAMAGE TO THE ROD NOT RESULTING FROM A NON-CONFORMITY IN MATERIAL OR WORKMANSHIP; ANY DAMAGE CAUSED BY MISUSE, ABUSE OR TAMPERING WITH THE ROD BY OTHER THAN NORMAL USE OF THE ROD; OR ANY NON-CONFORMITY OR DAMAGE RESULTING FROM REPAIRS PERFORMED OTHER THAN BY SHIMANO OR AN AUTHORIZED SHIMANO SERVICE PROVIDER. Shimano Rod - One Year Warranty As used herein, “Shimano” will mean “Shimano American Corporation” with respect to United States warranty claims and “Shimano Canada Ltd. / LTÉE” with respect to Canadian warranty claims. Shimano and Shimano Canada Ltd./ LTÉE warrants to the original retail purchaser that this rod will be free from non-conformities in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. During this period Shimano's sole obligation under this Limited One Year Warranty is to repair or replace, at Shimano's option, a non-conforming rod at no cost to the original retail purchaser other than the cost of packing, insuring, and shipping the rod to Shimano. To request warranty repairs on a Canadian warranty claim, send your rod, postage prepaid to Shimano Canada Ltd. / LTÉE or return it to an Authorized Canadian Warranty Center.
