You and Mike are really racking up the pickerels eh..... I think you're kicking some major here....probably MANY jealous members, including this Redneck. Now what was your address again.... ...need to follow you boys on the next trip out... Of course knowing "where" is only 1/3 of the puzzle as seasoned vets realize...presentation is sometimes a lot more important then many realize...yesterday I gave some good minnows to 3 lost souls on Lake Erie...but I'm doubting they did all that well because I watched them and their presentation is not what is need to catch very finicky jumbo Lake Erie perch....It's quite evident that Musky Mike has fine tuned his presentation for the current conditions....NICE GOING... Bob

Instead of a larger screen GPS/Sonar you should consider 2 5" screens...for example....2 Lowrance HDS 5 units networked together or side by side....this way "if" one breaks you have another unit until it's fixed...also you can keep one on GPS and one on Sonar giving almost as much as a HDS 10 unit for screen size at about half the cost.

Let me guess...you carped out and went walleye fishing...
-
Nice outing anyways.....but you missed your opportunity for Redneck surf and turf..
-
Use whatever spices or BBQ sauces you prefer....but put on a cedar plank...place in over at 300 degrees and bake for 18-20 minutes...remove from oven and throw away that stinken bass and eat the board...then go catch some tasty fish, like perch, walleye or crappie... Seriously, Mercman's recipe sounds good to go...but so does Rods..
-
Now it's all coming together.....Must be full of heavy metals... Or next time use a US gallon... after all everyone here on this thread is using pounds not kilograms...

Fished from about 8am till noon and between the 2 of us we caught 33 jumbo Lake Erie perch...largest 14" caught by my partner John...he had the hot hand yesterday... First spot we anchored we caught about a dozen and decided to move in a little before calling it quits....the slight move payed off in big dividends (perch)....other boats started to creep in on us but it was no use...we had the once forbidden bait because I made a special run on Friday to the Niagara River and dipped my own Lake Erie Emerald Shiners....when we left we gave our extra bait away to the 3 sorry souls in the boat closest to us...they bought golden shiners from the bait store near the launch...BIG MISTAKE....here's hoping all our bait shops switch over to the "GOOD STUFF" soon... Fishing depths and exact locations available upon PM requests only. Now go catch a fish, Bob

Who's making the coffee on here tonight
Billy Bob replied to Skipper D's topic in General Discussion
I sipped and sipped my java while making a 45 minute drive down the NYS Thruway to the Catt...but wait, low and behold there's a Timmy's a half mile from the launch....knowing it's required we slid in Tim's old parking lot for a quick medium to go in my travel mug...had the pretty girl even nuke it for 30 seconds and I was off to the state launch to catch some Lake Erie jumbo perch... ...33 caught by noon...not bad but not great. -
Then you know it's done RIGHT....

Who's making the coffee on here tonight

I'm sipping on some nice STRONG java I made.....will be leaving around 6:30am for some Erie perch....strong cold front came through the last 2 days so I'm not expecting too much, but hopefully at a meal or 2... -
If you have a cheap scale and wonder about it's accuracy, you can always test it with a gallon milk jug full of water...it should weigh about 8 lbs....8.35 to be exact. A onion or potato bag is helpful for fish you intend to release.

"REBATE"....you guys crack me up.... :rofl2: you want a rebate for power you didn't use.... :rofl2: Now, on a more serious note: It's your government that has these planned outages to increase your population..... ....it's always in the rural sparsely populated areas right....

:rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:

When you pay for my gasoline I'll drive in whatever lane you want...until then, I will stay in the SAFE middle lane...
-
I am already going about 5 miles over the speed limit...so go around. Did you ever notice anyone in front of you is a "JERK" and anyone who passes you is "MANIC" .....
-
I have to tow onthe 401 east every time I go somewhere it seems..... IMHO it's the worst part of my drive and that includes the QEW.. My best ADVICE is get in the MIDDLE lane and stay there.....go about 2mph less then everyone and they will go right on by you....Stay OUT of the RIGHT lane as it's the most dangerous with vehicles merging onto and off the 401.... Happy Towing, Bob

Not on my set up......as I said....I purchase a MUCH larger capacity trailer in order to launch and retrieve without my wheel bearing EVER getting wet....a little extra $$$ 26 years ago has really paid off over the years...
-
I agree with everything you posted except the last sentence....don't believe me....PM Big Cliff as he witnessed my technique on June 24th.. With the rollers baring the majority of the boats weight the bunks are used to stabilize the boat in transit. This makes launching and retrieving possible without getting my hubs wet, thus no wheel bearing failer because of water damaged bearings.... But I'm sure all boats and trailers cannot be done this way....when most rigs are purchased the bare minimum trailer is applied to reduce total costs....BIG MISTAKE....

A bit overpriced.........here are better deals.... http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=fish+skinner
