Hey Rick I haven't any experience with the Kirkland food but you also mentioned Innova. Innova (just one of Natura's brands) is my food of choice for Harley. I did a lot of research on dog foods many years ago and although it might be best to make my own, the Innova was an excellent alternative. Innova may look expensive when you compare it to another bag the same size but usually the serving portions are very different. Example...... Harley is 18lbs, he gets almost 2/3 cup PER DAY. If I were feeding him say Purina Adult Fit and Trim, the suggested serving is 1-1/4 to 1-3/4 cups per day, big difference for a little dog. A $37 bag lasts almost approx 2.5 months for me. I haven't the information for the larger breeds handy but you can refer to Natura's website for an idea of the servings etc. One of the reasons for the portion difference..Innova does not use any fillers. Harley is a small pek, shih tzu mix, 2 breeds that are prone to allergies and ear infections and a few more things, almost 5 and trouble free and his breeding was certainly not ideal. A little side thing...the food sources used in Innova are human grade. They do not use seconds, thirds etc., as was/is the popular way to produce dog food and cut cost. Many of the big popular "better" brands (Science Diet, Euk ) were included in the list of foods that had to be recalled a few years ago, Natura brands were not. Even if the info I have is a lot of hype, the fact that they did not make the list while so many others did, makes me feel better

North East Shark.. Ahh carpal tunnel, I know it well. I had surgery for both arms/wrists about 15 years ago. I wish someone had told me about ART back then. I no longer have carpal tunnel as I no longer have the sheaths that protect the nerves in those areas but this does not mean that I am trouble free. Definitely would recommend the ART (received this for my forearm last year during trout season..amazing & fast results) Ice Anti-inflammatory meds (advil, motrin etc if you can take them) Wrist splints.....wear them at night and for now, whenever you can tolerate them during the day Stretch and when things settle a bit, strengthen I learned to recognize things I was doing that were triggering the symptoms and did my best to retrain myself, the splints can be a large help with this. Good luck! Oh and be thankful that they gave you a CT and not electromyography to diagnose....nasty test....so many little needles....

Ok, since he is on the road and cannot stop me...... He prefers the darker pinks for the walleye, purples for steelhead...

There are many good reasons for drinking, One has just entered my head. If a man doesn't drink when he's living, How in the hell can he drink when he's dead? Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

The last fish I caught was back in mid November of LAST year! This long winter has been brutal...and it today I got an opportunity to head out. Cliff suggested that when he got home from work to take off...he'd feed the family and take care of things on the home front! So, with that in mind, I got all my steelhead gear together and waited for him to arrive at home. He got home just after 5pm, and 2 minutes later I was out the door...LOL. I headed down to the local trib and found a nice spot to drift. The waters looked pretty good...not ideal, but not too bad. Started out using jigs but nothing was taking the bait and I switched up and began to use roe. Sure enough, that did the trick. I was trying to get into my groove, when my float went down!! I set the hook, felt the tug on the other end. Few flips at the surface and the fish got off! I knew there were fish in the area, so I was determined to systematically work this hole. A few hits and a missed hookset...I was rusty to say the least! Finally, my float went down again...I was determined not to mess this one up! Quick hook set and that was it! Fish on! This fish tried going every direction out of the hole, but I managed to turn it around each time, and finally I was able to land my first fish of 2009....and my first in 4 months!! Here it is...a nice 28" steelhead... Ahhh....all is right in the world again.... Sorry team, it doesn't beat our current trout...maybe next time! Waters were rising and the sun was setting, decided it was best to be safe and head home, wasn't easy knowing there were probably a few more fish there.

Beauty! Congrats on getting the first of many this season and looking forward to the great pictures to follow. I can relate. The first few outings are always a mess for me. Spend the day prepping, pacing, unable to focus and then when I finally get to the water, I am so hyped, hands shaking with anticipation, that I can barely fish..surprised Cliff hasn't tossed me in yet LOL

FishinFanatic69...Welcome to OFC. A tip for you... it isn't about shore vs boat, urban vs rural, and even though luck does contribute if it were all luck I would never catch anything. You have access to some great waters....get out and work them, try knew things etc. rock bass and carp......
