  1. man that is horrible fishing...3 fish for an entire week-end? Guess I'll stick to my local haunts rather than shell out big $$$$ after driving a few hundred kms
  2. nice looking fish. Good thing you got them before some hungry 'ski!
  3. I think there is a place (fesserton?) about 5 minutes off the highway near hwy 400/hwy 12. the place in Barrie does not carry anything bigger than emerald shiners...ok for hammerhandles but not the big boys if you're after pike
  4. I'm with johnnyb on this one. Usually after a bad review some people step up to agree, but others stick up for the place in question...not this time apparently...which means it must be a truly horrendous operation.
  5. hahaha why do I even ask
  6. excuse my ignorance but what's an SDM?
  7. with three little kids I don't get out much, so I put all my eggs in the October/November basket. Its those 2 months I get the majority of my fishing in
  8. long straw into the livewell, never know what its going to taste like
  9. these guys don't know what they are talking about...nearly impossible to launch a boat like that on your own, better take me fishing with you
  10. Great report, I give you guys credit for being out there in the weather we've had
  11. the fish are in the water. If you are walking through Dunnville you will smell fish, but that is usually eminating from the residents. I have a cousin there that looks like a mudcat. Quite a town that Dunnville
  12. zoinks! Some tense moments for that guy (although the camera man doesn't seem too concerned). Not too sure about the claim of 100's of deep scratches on the man's head and back though. I'm thinking if the bear got close enough to issue 100's of scratches that man would be bear poop by now.
  13. nice looking pike for a pond with max 6 foot depths. I've got a similar one near my house and the pike are absolutely tiny
  14. hahaha somebody censored me to read "What's his name"...either way, it was an acronym for do I....
  15. nice job Rich, hearing about lots of bass through the ice this winter
  16. I've never actually bought a portable, I have just made portable units out of regular fishfinders. All I ever did was buy a suction cup (probably 1 aisle over) and a box to house/transport everything in. Saved some $$ doing it that way, rather than paying 50.00 more for a matching case.
  17. I've never been called a super-predator before. Now that Predator from the movie Predator, THAT was a super-predator
  18. ...of course I mean goggles rather than googles...but if anyone has some spare googles let me know
  19. I say slap on a warm coat and a pair of googles...enjoy nature in its fullest
  20. how about rotflmao...or rotfLMAO...or (nobody slap me on this one) what's his name
  21. 8 feet of ice? Hit that with a manual auger...I dare you. I always thought lakes in "southern" ontario maxed out at about 4 feet.
  22. you're right goteeboy, I like/use the Roland Martin Oooooh son, that's a biggun
  23. don't know him, but to hijack your thread does anyone out there know tangledlines? I "won" the item they auctioned, sent the cheque out the next week, and have been waiting for my gift card ever since. Tried a couple of pm's which have gone unanswered. Now I've got Roy looking into things (which is unfortunate, as I'm sure Roy has better things to do)
  24. dang...stuck on bottom again...uh, wait a minute or pretty sure its just weeds
  25. forget the paint. Fish like a boat that looks like crap. My first boat was a lot like that one. I've moved on and am on my fourth boat now, but that little tinny saw some of the best fishing days.
