  1. I was there musky fishing a year ago and happened into a 6 lber and a 7 lber. So strap on a big musky lure and see what happens!
  2. 5 years ago? maybe fewer? They had a big bin of them...no wrapping, no packaging, just a whole bunch of these pliers in a bin. Maybe it was a one time thing where they got an awesome bulk deal?
  3. ya I got out for a few hours on the weekend as well. Spoons were top bait, cranks got some, spinnerbaits no score
  4. I am aware all those lakes you list have musky, but I have never targetted them there. You can add Sparrow L and Gloucester Pool to that list as well. Personally, I would drive a bit ang go to Kawarthas
  5. my buddies go there and get pike, perch and walleye....but it is hit and miss. From what I have seen the best fishing is far from access points...you would want a snowmobile
  6. ya easy to get off. For me the hardest part is getting the dang cotter pin out in the tight quarters. After that just turn the nut counter clockwise and should be able to slider her off. Definitely don't use that prop as it is motor will vibrate like crazy and you may damage something else!
  7. Nice job I don't blame you for going out! Beauty fish but that sure is one weird looking rock! A bitey one..
  8. I used to jam a hook in there too...until I discovered that split ring pliers were $5 at my local tackle shop. Forget the $40 one you saw, they can be had for waaayy less. Pretty sure I got mine at Natural sports in Kitchener.
  9. ...except you are not allowed to be with a friend
  10. awesome! congrats on the first boat she is a beaut!
  11. Personally I am getting used to seeing odd things. I used to laugh when I would see people driving alone in their car with a mask on...now I almost expect it.
  12. I think you were trying to be funny...either way, made me laugh!
  13. ...so you just ignore the part when I said ""the cases I have seen"...gotcha. If taking things out of context is all you have, there is no point discussing this.
  14. the question was asked "who said it was ever just taking older people" you referred to me. I did not say that, and so I do not appreciate you implying that I did.
  15. I do not appreciated being mis-quoted. I never said "it only affects the old". I said THE CASES I HAVE SEEN were older people. Never would I say it "only" affects the elderly. What happened in Brampton is a real tragedy and my heart goes out to the family. You should not twist my words to try and prove some point.
  16. you figure the "other" death would be much better? You know many many many of the older folks end up dying of pneumonia right? In other words, same type of death...lungs filling with fluid. Fortunately, there are ways to keep people comfortable when they go through some very uncomfortable times.
  17. Very sorry Dan, my condolences to your family.
  18. wow you guys are nice! I tell my kids to step on the flat piece just above the prop and pull themselves in. Having said that, we only tube or ski once or twice a year, and I have teenage boys. If it was a regular thing, I might consider a ladder as well
  19. thanks for clarifying. I wonder if they actually searched? or the guy just answered a question honestly
