  1. the bad winter low snow levels will have a huge impact,not only on resorts,and snowmobiling business the water tables in the forest,disease,low water,forest will be dry lakes will be lower,spring will be earlier,there is massive impacts and yes global warming is here for sure,.....i was watching a segment on the news the other day about just this topic in ontario and what will and has happened even if we get alot of rain in the spring it wont be enough 70% of the great lakes water source is the snow pack !!!! i didnt even know that till they said that on the news and levels were almost record low last year it will be alot worse this year for sure,the asian bettle will survive and the insects will be insane this year as the winter kill will be alot less,it went on and on ....outlook is get used to it cause it will soon be the norm !!!!!!
  2. just to let you know gooderham lake is very small,and fished quite heavy in the summer,with limited success,there are much better lakes to fish in the area,but if you have to go there pm me and i can give you some more info !!! cheers

  5. northland 1/4oz charteuese buck shot rattle spoon,with a stinger or a hammered half and half williams whitefish spoon,turned upside down take the hook off and turn the lure around and put the hook on the other end ok thats way too much info... good luck

  9. yes i got a report last night from a groomer,on the snowmobile trails,about the lakes and alot of them are very slushy right now,but its getting colder so some may tighten up

  11. we have everything here !!!! no need to ever go anywhere,there is no country on this earth that can even compare to ours !!!! i will never own a passport either,and not too mention the best fishing in the world.....
  12. there is still lots of moving water in all the rivers up there from all the rain and mild temps !!! be carefull,its never been like this alot of the bigger lakes are very unsafe in lots of areas,but the smaller ones have not been too bad,but yes check with the bait shop in minden,lots of sledders and fishermen give their reports in there about conditions on the local lakes....like the old saying i have been using all my life if you dont know dont go !!!!

  15. it also goes by the length of your boat !!! i believe a 16ft for the season will cost around $500 for the summer,that was the average price not too long ago,but they are free to charge whatever they want i have heard places charging as much as $800 for the entire season from may till usually the thanksgiving weekend....

  19. i have been making my own for at least 30years !!!! i will try to put up a few pics,but the ideas are endless,i have tried many,many different lines,and knots and blade sizes,you name it i have tied it or tried it !!!! and they will just about outfish everything for eyes !!! since zebra muscles have come into town i have used pretty much trilene XT FOR THE LINE AS IT SEEMS TO STILL STAND UP BETTER THAN MOST,I HAVE EVEN TRIED BRAID,IT does not stand up as well,but the two critical things for sure is the hooks,and the placement of them as well as the line,i have also made harnesses for minnows to troll with them as well,and yes i was using stinger hooks 25 years ago before most people even were aware of them,even the MNR when they stopped me one day had never even seen them or heard of them....if you want some tips pm me and i can help you out its just too much to post...cheers
