well you better check the regs for walleyes on the ottawa river you cabn only keep eyes under 15inches till june 15th special regs for fmz 12 !!!!!!!!!.....

transoms are usually 15 or 20 inches,so your longshaft engine is probly fit for a 20 inch transom,i have seen some guys bolt a plate on the outside of the back transom and up and square it off back down to the inside of the transome so i guess you would have to lift if 5 inches or so up i have seen it a few times so it is do-able,but i think you would have to make sure its very strong as it would be disater if it was not done right and your motor would be gone,or worse split the back of the transome and sink ???

i second what tony said i use the boat buckle transom straps on my lund and only now just replaced them from 2006 and they work great and never come loose and i have trailered them thousands of kilometers !!! when i bought my new motor a few weeks ago from hastings marine they had a bin full of them for sale and they were 4 ft ones !!! i think i payed $25 for 2

i have a top gun cover on my lund and its been there since 2006 and its held up great no tears or damage just a bit of fading but not too bad !!! most top gun covers have a 10 year warranty

they are still selling lots off there is going to be 100 shoreline lots of 1 acre each,supposedly,and its still in the environmental stage and red tape,they also want to build a bridge to the island as well,just what the lake needs more developement but its supposed to be in full swing by 2014 i try to ask about it all the time seeing how i live up there,and as a kid spent many camping trips there,its a shame as its a really cool island with trails and even a few camps on it,but it will be ruined like everything else,oh ya and might even be a marina there too

it is a rudd,and you are supposed to kill it and call the mnr to report where you caught it !!! its an invasive species....it is not a golden shinner its a rudd...
