Paloma's and the same as Chris Brock above !!!! Usually only 3 knots !!!! And all the years of salmon fishing usually let you know what knots work best and those ones hold up pretty good I have had split rings tear off and hooked get pulled straight and the knots still hold !!!!!

Lots of places in Haliburton you can be 50-100 ft away from open water and test be on 20inches of ice lake trout fishing !!!! One guy parks his hut within casting distance of open water and he has been doing it for years !!!!! In the same spot !!!! Ottawa river as well places you can almost stand on the edge of thick ice and cast into open water And as for harbor fishing I have ice fished in Whitby harbor as well as Oshawa harbor in years past and done well and yes you can feel the ice moving with the rolling motion from the swells Comming in off the lake and yet be on 5-8 inches of good ice !!!!!

They just said on the news that propane will probly be $1.05 to $1.10 per liter very soon that it has not peaked in price yet !!!! And the sinking dollar and high demand is making it happen !!!! Not gonna get any better either just look at electricity prices as well .... It sucks

We used to ice fish as well as cast for pike too a decent spot was always just to the right of the 7ft deep hole sort of line yourself up with the long pier !!!! We used to use dead salted minnows on a tip-up in winter there is or was a line of weeds around the northern end of the deep spot !!!! And we fished there .... And got some decent perch as well !!!

. Yes I was suprised too Wayne about 4 yrs ago my gf and myself launched at pembroke and went about 15-20 miles up the Ottawa river and first cast first fish was a huge Cisco !!!!! And it was so big I thought it had to be a whitefish. But then realized it was a Cisco and it was for sure without a doubt at least 4lbs !!!!! But I had no idea the record was only 4.33lbs !!!so I was not about to drag that fish around with us all day so we took a pic and let it go !!!!! It was after the trip a few days later I found out it was probly a record !!!! Haha lol ... Oh well and yes I have caught some big ones as well trolling for eyes as well as bouncing harnesses and minnows !!!! Sorry to side track the thread ...

. Yes art I have been victim of that 2 weed eaters and when I got home opened the box it had already been opened and critical part taken out if box !!!!! Grrrrrr took it back and while I was at cashier we opened the box and the same thing another one had the same part taken out !!!! So yes been there done that !!!! But it was a que not to buy that particular item as it was flawed if people were returning them because of that part so now when I buy things like that if I can I will open them in store and make sure box had not been tampered with !!!!! As more and more stuff now says " do not return to store" and to call a phone number for any parts or issues !!!!!! See that a lot now so I'm pretty sure that's one more reason they do it to prevent fraud like the OP is doing !!!!! And we know the costs of all this are always passed back to the consumer as usual so we all end up paying for it in the long run anyways !!!!! Grrrrrrrrr.....

Well our can tire up here in Lindsay usually has them all year round as we are used to power going out up here in the kawarthas and Haliburton and these can tires stores probly carry more of those things than the southern stores for that reason alon as well as cottagers who use them in the summer time when on their holidays check some of the stores on-line. Like I said I have had a nice sized Hyundai genny for several years as most do outside of the city .... And lots of people heat with propane up here too and their have been shortages as well and the trucks are only filling people's tanks half full so there is enough to go around as demand has went way up thei winter because of it being colder than normal
