well i was stupid enough to go to bass pro this morning with a member from the board,erine and we were there when it opened and it wasnt to bad until about 11am,lots of good deals we both picked up a brand new 6 mega pixel camera,there were only a certain amount ,to be had you needed a red ticket to get one and the camerea is awsome its all i need .got all the bells & whistles ,well the flyer said it all there were combo rod & reels,lots of things on sale so we did really well,left there and went to lebarons around 12pm and it wasnt to bad,it was no tax day and lots of things on sale ,i picked up lots of owner hooks,mustad triple grip hooks & crankbait snaps some deep diving x-raps,reef runners and stuff like that so all in all just getting that really nice camera alone was worth the drive,so the traffic and crowds wernt to bad as long as you went like us,first thing and got right out of there,well take care and happy holidays..see you guys at the swill...

i think its shinner, will have to find my baitfish book,and look it up,but i think thats what they are,i know walleyes like them for sure

looks really cool,and i like the older retro look too,would be nice for weekend camping for sure

well,your gonna need some of the following -manns stretch 20, black/silver,blue/chrome,and dr.death -rapala tail dancers,various colours -offshore planner boards,1 left & 1 right -line counter reels filled with 10lb. test -reef-runners various sizes & colours and thats a basic fishing package that will get you started for trolling down at quinte[glenora ferry],the fish will be at various depths so watch your graph,and your line counter reel and determine how much line you will need out to get your lure down to where they are at wich will be anywhere from 15-50ft,most will be suspended so getting the lure to the right depth,will be key to putting fish in the boat,be careful as that part of the bay can get real nasty real quick,so be safe and good luck......

yes rick i was going to say the lowrance iway,there are several hand held units go to the lowrance website and check them out,the iway seems to be the best for the dollar with all the options that we,as fisherman will use good luck shawn

my daughter gave me 40$ to spend at bass pro,or lebarons,thats real nice of her,cant wait to see the deals

Fishergirl72 wants to thank you very much for your thread, her brother-in-law is home for 2 weeks but there are alot of soldiers that will not be home for xmas, we will for sure have a moment of silence at dinner tomorrow

hey guys check out the weather for boxing day the news as well says we will get maybe 5-10 in the GTA,and areas north will get more in the usual snowbelt regions,but they say it will be short lived the temps will still be above normal and doesn"t look good for jan 1st opener check it out...oh and merry christmas,my liitle girl is so excited,she cant wait cheers. shawn

mr.pike,if you are going to get one get a 15hp...high thrust ,not a reular 15hp the high thrust does what it says they are made just for being kickers they dont rev hight they have tourque,and an oversized prop for maximum thrust.all the salmon guys have them and the walleye guys as well you wont be disapointed

well the usual for xmas dinner ,but i like for dessert fresh-apple crisp we are having that tommorow and our xmas dinner is a maple&brown sugar ham & for dessert bannana cream pie,we are gonna get real fat this weekend,,lol..lol merry christmas from our family to yours
